How long is your pry bar? Snap ons screwdriver holders for the hutches/lockers can be cut/drilled/modified to hold whatever you want. Or an external pry bar holder on the outside of the box. Don't necessarily have a good pic of how I did mine...

When I first saw this pic I thought to myself I HAVE to do it. I figured it would free up a lot of space in my tool box. I've got Snap on pry bars from 8" to 36". I also have craftsmen pry bars. Why do I have both? While Snap on bars are super thick and don't bend easy SOMETIMES I need thinner/different length ones for tight places. Sometimes bigger isn't always better. ;) I started laying them out figuring out if I could have them all hanging from the inside of my locker. I opted against it because IMO the sheet metal isn't going to hold up well with the weight of all my pry bars. In theory I could fab a custom piece that's thicker (stronger) but keep in mind that the tabs where it would hook into the locker can only be so thick. A chain is only is strong as its weakest link. Maybe you could cut thicker grooves in the inside of the locker but I decided not to reinvent the wheel. Could I make something to hang my pry bars OUTSIDE my tool box? Yes.. I prefer to have all my stuff locked up. It slows down thieves.

Had my KRL7022 since '09 when I sold off my KRL1003 to downsize and buy a compressor..Well the time finally came that I wanted a big box again, and I worked out a trade for my box and some cash on my end for a KRL1032..So nice to have all of my tools back in one box again instead of 2 in 2 different spots in the garage..

Now that's quality work space for home!

No problem, and then we have the gypsy wagon, all I want to do is put an umbrella on this thing and sell hotdogs out of it.

Hey Cassidy, thanks for posting those old timer boxes. I laughed at the gyspy wagon comment and took it for the humour it was meant with. Keep posting them pics mang. I think it's cool that everyone has a different approach and philosophy that guides their tools and storage decisions. I don't know why so, but this is one of my fave threads on GJ.

My old snap on KRA top and bottom. Its served me well from when I used to do car stereo stuff to now just being my home tool box where I work on my cars, my house, my bicycles, everything! I'll never get rid of it, unless I upgrade.

nice! the amount and variety of sockets some of you guys have is just amazing. I'm also amazed I've gotten by for the most part with what I have. Of course I'm usually only working on my own cars and that was mostly VW's for the longest time, so a lot of the same sized fasteners.

thanks! yeah famous last words for sure. The more I look around here the more I want the big roller I've always wanted. I got the KRA top and bottom from a coworker back in 1999 or so for a crackhead price so I went with it. I still want a long roller cabinet though with a stainless worktop. Who knows, anything can happen ;)

Here's a drawer pic with a drawer pull cover. Polished stainless stick on. I had them on my old KRL on the top two drawers in brushed stainless. The brushed matched the standard KRL trim better. The polished matches the Epiq trim. The polished trim cleans up nice.

Great, now I've seen it, have to get them now. I have chipped the top edge on a couple drawers already, been wanting to get a real world opinion on the guards, you do the whole box or just top drawer ?

I'm gonna chime in here and say I bought the polished stainless guard just for the top drawer only. It was around 50 bux just for the one. I couldn't fathom paying 400 bux for all of them. I think the top drawer is the most important one to cover anyways and it doesn't look out of place doing the top one
They definetely do fit very precise and doesnt interfere with anything

Lol. I think they look nice. Told my wife I'd love the brushed set for Christmas.

Against my better judgement I have to ask more if you or anyone has any info on those socket rails.
If you aren't worried about having them in trays the are very similar to many of the plastic rails. I love the plastic rails. Did my entire collection with them and gained a lot of storage space.

Here's my box. All metric stuff. Just a simple service cart for now. Spent the money as a stop gap measures so I didn't have to move a **** ton of tools in individual boxes lol.

I love how I set up that box with the trays. I have thought about removing all my trays and see how I like it. but the rails and clips themselves ive never had any trouble with them. not even in the large 1/2 deep impact sockets. they work extremely well.

What was the goal of the trays? To be able to take the set to where you are working?

Yes the trays are for when I have to work outside of the shop. I have all my bit sockets on the rails and the 3 railed trays. It makes it easier working in trucks when I need multiple sockets

Here's a shot of my CM top box. Trying to get time to go through other boxes so that I can get this one organized. Maybe after my back surgery next week I can find the time.

His is a 1033 and those are 67" drawers.

I used to love the 1033 until I reorganized my sockets on my 7023 for the best use of my space. Damn that drawer is heavy. If you are one who use factory bulky organizers then the 1033 would be nice but if you go for maximum storage that drawer may get too heavy to want to open a lot, it is the drawer you open the most in a day.
