Got a HF44 for Christmas. It was a open box special, $311. I had all of my stuff in a 5 drawer roll cart, and it was about crammed full. Now, everything is spaced out pretty well. There is plenty of room to add more tools, and also an empty roll cart to fill.

not technically a toolbox yet but will be repurposed as one to hold my hammers, prybars and other implements of destruction/leverage. The guy said it was originally a cigarette cabinet. It's also apparently fireproof and by the weight of it (approx 250+ lbs with shelves and panels installed), I believe it. Made by McCowan Manufacturing in Ontario and measures 4' wide 5'tall and 12' deep and has a Medeco branded locking system. Plan is to clean, repaint and fasten a shadow board with hooks to hang everything. was thinking on bolting it to the wall but may just add casters to the base so I can move it if necessary.

Not knocking your setup, but I think a few hours of organizing would really help and free up quite a bit of space.

I'm a graphic artist, Sign maker, Sticker guy whatever you want to call it. I picked up a new Dewalt Box this year and came up with a way to hide some of that yellowness. Its not a serious problem, I just needed to tone it down a bit. I came up with an odd idea of flat black decal material and added a honeycomb and my name for $hits and giggles..

My kids don't really care for any of my tools, I will not need them because my big tool box will be coming home.

any idea's

James

You can just go ahead and send them to me  I will make sure they get taken care of like they should.

For real though, that looks like a pretty nice "junk box" and set of tools. I guess I would take out any tool you want to keep, sell the big sets on here then sell the rest as a package deal on CL. You will end up getting pennies on the dollar but that would be the easiest/least amount of hassle way

thats neat, thinking of picking up a set of these, a good way to break the yellow up. What would you charge for something like that?

Im not sure. Maybe around 40.00 shipped. I am planning on adding more for the drawer fronts as well. Just curious to see what it looks like. I will see if I can make up a kit for those that are interested. I have all of the sizes saved so if anyone wants a set. I can add your name or last name as well. Maybe drawer labels would be a better way to go. Hmmmm...

On the wrong side of the tracks.
$200.

The reason he sold it for that is because the narrow drawers on the bottom right section would not lock at all, I pulled one drawer and found a large box of sandpaper. Removed that and now all drawers lock.

Hopefully I can get everything moved over in a few weeks. :lol_hitti

We picked up this Husky for cheap.....Really cheap...

You're going to like that box. My boss has been working out of that exact model for years now. Drawers still slide smooth even though it's packed to the brim. For that price I would've grabbed it in a heartbeat too.

How's it going guys. This is my first post to this site and it is showing one of my toolboxes. It is not anywhere near as nice as some of the boxes I have seen on here but you have to start somewhere right? Also, I am just a home mechanic, not a pro full-time...

Let me know what you guys think. I just picked up this Dewalt box the other day and the bottom is on order and should be here soon.

I have a small HVAC business on the side but I keep those tools in tool bags ready to go. I don't want to grab from my home boxes every time I have a service call or an install and have to remember which are my home tools and which are my work tools. Cost more but I think it has been a good investment.

This is probably the 2nd or 3rd tool rig that has the DeWalt Tool Chest with the deep top lid space. How are you liking it? My working style seems to fit with a box like that. I've already got a Crafty red metal box, but need something to hold all the other tools I've got. I have a mishmash of portable metal boxes (including a nice Kennedy), but this DeWalt box looks nice, and Home Depot has a special buy on them for $125.

Picked this cornwell CTBMM700BL up today for 250$, once I get a new lock in it, I'll have to post up some pics of it filled up!

Here's the only picture I got of it now.

I've been watching this thread for a long time and thought that I should post now that I have a semi decent toolbox. It started out when I bout the craftsman 413 pc. I tried craning it in a 26" toolbox that I got when I probably 8. I bought the HF 44" as a temporary toolbox until I could get a 72" montezuma with a hutch and two side lockers. I have since changed my mind to getting another HF 44" toolbox and the end cabinet deal to connect them. Then I'm going to get a 30" cabinet from sears that I will bolt onto the side of each end of the toolbox sad lockers. The HF locker is only 18" wide which I don't think is very wide so that's why I'm putting those cabinets from Sears on there. If you seen anything that I should add to my toolbox let me know. I do believe that I have an addiction. I have been buying tools left and right for the past month. I've already outgrown this toolbox so I guess I need to slow down for a little bit until I get another toolbox. The top is junky because it's acting as a catch all right now but eventually I would like to build a hutch where I can put a tv and a nice radio.

My box at work, going to be upgrading soon. Very disappointed with my International roller. Not worth the money...

I won't speak for him, but in my case the International 56" box I have *****. Harbor Freight has better quality than this for half the price. Not to mention them lying and saying the box was made in Canada but when I got it there are made in China stickers on it.

Well, where do I begin... For starters, the castors ****, and they're held onto the box with lag bolts that strip the first time you put them in. I had to ream out the holes and use bolts with nuts on the backside. There is no provisions for adding a second set of slides to the large drawers. My socket drawer is quite heavy and it isn't holding up to continuous use. The detent system isn't very good either. The mechanisms on most of the drawers are broken from the constant opening and closing. For a home box I'm sure it'd be ok though.

Okay I understand. I don't have a International box, I was just wondering. I've been looking for a home box for s while now. Haven't even considered International (and now I don't think I need to bother). Is there a brand of box you've been thinking of getting? I have a Matco box and love it. I'm pretty impressed with it so far. Very sturdy and very good quality so far.
