That Matco box isn't purple, I would call that violet. It has a lot more red in it than blue and your car looks like it has way more blue in it, more of a true purple.
Viper makes a nice purple box, almost the same purple as your car. That's the color. You can get it in a 41" box.

This my new box for all of my more costly tools to replace. I can't bring my work truck home. Coworkers love to steal. I needed something I could load and unload everyday and not take up to much of my bed so when I'm spraying I can still fit chemical.
These are some box sets that don't fit In the new box .

Agreed, I love seeing other setups and people's ideas for storage. I wish I could take pictures of my drawer layouts, but we aren't allowed to take pictures at work... Managed to sneak one of the outside of my box though lol

I was changing the lock on my box because I don't have a key and a "coworker" had said that a Lil ol lock wouldn't stop him from getting in that box. So now I'm going to get a long inch 1 1\2 wrench and name it the equalizer. Lol

Tell him if anybody does get through the lock without your permission, you will be calling 911 for vandalism, break and enter and theft under (or over) $5000, on him. That will teach him to keep his mouth shut and mind his own business.

It's just the shallow standard duty. I paid $40 for it.
72 inch Tool vault. Gonna take the small box off soon for more work space.
Ooh, a fellow jet skier here on gj. I love the box. I wish I had something like that, but building those skis drains all of my money.

This is my box Husky 52" 18 drawer. I linked to the page because I have pictures on my phone but it isn't near me right now (I haven't backed anything up to my computer in months...)
I had considered one of the more robust HF boxes, but I need the size, so the 44" wouldn't work and the 56" was more than double what I paid for this setup. I'm sure I'll regret it eventually as this box doesn't have provisions for side boxes like the HF does, but I really like the top hutch.
In the future after I make a little money I may upgrade to a used Snap-On or a MAC, but right now it isn't viable.

if you buy 2 HF side box's your in for $ 400 extra....
i just bought 2 of the same boxes for my shop, (got tired of the 4 different box and carts) not a bad box at all for 6 bills they look really close to the craftsman grip latch box's wish they were a little deeper, but not really that big of a deal

I agree with Jeff, it could be a little deeper. It was something like half and inch shy of fitting the blow-molded socket "plate" I bought from Northern Tool. I ended up cutting the ratchet mount piece out of the center and using that alongside several Kobalt socket organizers with the pegs instead.

That box setup will work great for what you need, don't sweat the upgrade until you have the bread to get it done.
As far as a backup, you should use Dropbox. That way it automatically backs up without you having to worry about stopping everything you're doing just to get it done.

Long time lurker, first real post here on the boards. Came over from the HAMB.
I bought this cheap Waterloo two-piece box a couple summers ago to store my growing collection of tools but, like many others, found out right away I should have done a little more thinking before purchasing. I hadn't even put everything away and it was at capacity. Got the Bynford mid but even then I am out of room. I plan on replacing the lower and possibly the mid this winter/spring with something larger.
Sorry, no detailed drawer photos as there's nothing all that impressive in there. Most of my tools are Mastercraft with some Craftsman thrown in as well. Just a shmoe in his garage...I'm not even sure I qualify as a "shade tree" haha. I will say this though, since joining the boards I have gotten some great ideas as well as spent some money!

This is my first post but I have been looking at GJ for over a year and really enjoy all the posts. This is my current project - Its an SK Chest I recently picked up and it was a banged up and rusty mess. Had it soaking in Metal Rescue for a few days then primed and painted it with Restoleum Hammertone Green. Its not what SK used but when it's sitting in the garage - your eyes go right to it and say there's my SK stuff! Did not have enough storage space so I used a Craftsman box as an intermediate and painted it to match. Thinking about doing a roller for all this also. What do you think?

Yes, the only thing worse than working in an uninsulated garage in the extreme cold is working outside in the same cold...
I have an uninsulated extension to my single car garage, a space about 12'x11'. I have 2 1500w radiant heaters in there - they bring the temperature up from -10°C up to +10°C in about 2 hours. The radiant heat is good since it's heating you up, so it feels warmer than it really is. (That's 14°F to 50°F for you Fahrenheit types.)

2 of my 3 service calls were outside in the snow yesterday, both for blown hyd hoses.
i was doing ok till mid afternoon when the sun started to get down below tree level.
as long as i was in direct sunlight, it didnt feel like it was chilly as it was...
air temp 2-3* F wind chill -16/20.
dont look like air temps will be above zero tomorrow, should be a fun filled day....
