Almost ashamed to show this in the middle of such nice toolboxes. This is an old Craftsman 26" that I bought when Sears catalog sales went out of business.

It has served me fairly well, but I am looking forward to the day I can upgrade.

Nothing wrong with those boxes man !

No need to be ashamed at all. That is a very nice setup. About the most storage you can get in a 26" box combo.

I really like that stack, I don't recall seeing one with so many drawers, I'd love to find one to use at work as a machinist chest. Thanks for sharing!

There is nothing to be ashamed of. That is a nice box and like you said you can always upgrade. If you go through all of the tool box pics throughout the GJ there is the gambit if types brands and prices. Don't knock the old craftsman I cannot remember the members' names but there are several that have complete craftsmen styled garages and shops that are just amazing looking.

I have a slightly smaller version of the same setup (less drawers) and it's served me well. We all use what we have or can afford. No shame in it!

I'll have to get pics of mine up here to support those of us with no need (or $) for a truck brand box.

That's larger than I started out with. I had a 9 drawer Snap on and had to sell it due to a move. I worked out of a couple of 20" hand held boxes for a few years and then got a3 drawer Pow'rKraft and a top box. It took me close to 5r0 years to get where I am now.

:bowdown::bowdown:Devon, that is one heck of a box.

Nothing too exciting has joined my collection other than a AT200D Blue Point 1/4" air ratchet with a Cornwell swivel.:rocker:

....and ya, 930 brakes are still waiting on one more part....3mm wheel spacers. LOL. Got the front hubs, hats, T-nuts, bearings, seals, races, lugs, rotors, pads, calipers, fasteners, lines, machine work done to rear calipers, and the 23mm master cylinder.

Lets try that again!

Everything but the trash can is mine, except when it needs to be emptied. Then the trash can is also mine. How? Magic!

Did you have to pay extra to get those drawers swapped out for the different sizes or how did it work? Always wondered about that.

Nope. That's the new drawer layout they came out with for that box. So I believe you can now get either this layout with the deeper drawers or the standard layout without doing a custom drawer setup. Which I'm pretty sure does cost extra.

Each type of drawer has a individual price, the tool rep will usually price them based difference between the factory drawer in question and the one you want. It can get expensive quick, if your preferred layout requires additional slides. Snap-on drawers for regular bays go for $150-$400 each (last I got quoted).

One of my first boxes. The good old days when you walked into sears and had the HUGE scratch and dent side. A little ding and it was over there. That was my first box. Was able to sell it for more then I paid for.

Bought my first roll cab at Sears when I got a job at an auto dealership, 26 inch wide. Quickly realized I needed more space after a few months. Traded that box in for the same price I bought it for, around $400. The new Snapon KRA4107 had more room at 40 inches wide; but was also much more expensive.

You should do a toolbox tour. Show us what a guy in a condo has in his box. :)
Thanks

I might take a few pics when I get home later. I'm warning you though, it's quite sad. Some drawers have papers(receipts, HF coupons, etc.), one drawer has pair of boots and one I gave my old lady to use(socks and underwear!). And some drawers actually have tools. :lol_hitti

Measured out the available space in my shed and did some simple math. Drawers are like 24"X 54". Had Home Depot make all the cuts and assembled it in place. Slides came from Rockler. It's a tank.
