Measured out the available space in my shed and did some simple math. Drawers are like 24"X 54". Had Home Depot make all the cuts and assembled it in place. Slides came from Rockler. It's a tank.

Nice I like that. I installed a Rockler lumber storage shelf last night in the garage and was impressed with the quality. Do you have a part number for the slides by chance?

You should do a toolbox tour. Show us what a guy in a condo has in his box. :)
Thanks

Got one more or less as well. Live in a basement. Still working on organizing so no inside pictures yet. Got the top and bottom for $67 after tax, the middle for $30 after tax, and the portable was my first at around $50. Stack-On was my dads old one and I turned it into my throw box with liner coating the interior.

I bought this same toolbox other day from a Costco in the UK for £444.

First proper size toolbox I've owned.
Here are some photos of how it is at the moment, ive ordered some spanner organisers and will slowly start to build up my collection to fill my drawers.

Some of the drawers are empty at the moment.

the 299 piece Craftsman USA socket set fits in 3 - 2" drawers and is extremely handy to sort and find. I want Pete at Foam Fit to make a "quick drawer" for the most used sockets and rachets all in one. I have several more of his organizers I'm working on as well. It has been a 3-4 year project for me and I can always find the tool I need fast. Fast Cap sells the Kaizan foam and it's cheap, works out to about $4-5 a drawer. It is so awesome to work with and extremely fast. Love that stuff too.

I got a 66" Proto last week to replace my 56" HF. It was heavily used, but it was love at first sight.

Fast forward a couple days and I find a deal on a shiny new Proto 50" workstation with matching 36" top chest. I really only wanted the top chest to build into a service cart to match my 66". Seller wouldn't separate so I bought the top and bottom combo with intentions of selling the bottom. Now that I have it home, not sure I can part with it.

Those foam drawer inserts sure do look nice. But they sure waste a lot of damn drawer space. Never will happen in my boxes!

2" shallow drawers, I have 300 sockets fully organized with easy access in 6 inches of drawer space. (22 by 16.5"). As an experiment I took one 4" drawer and just poured all the sockets in there and it filled to the top. you might as will just store them in a bucket.
If you stored 300 sockets on the normal upright storage products. You would need a 4" and a 3" drawer most likely. That's 6 point and 12 point of every size available.
. Many industries require that you use this kind of organization method for efficiency and speed. Let alone the fact that I've never lost a tool. Shallow 2 inch drawers, yes it does raise the cost of your cabinet a little but you get it backtenfold in time and efficiency. No empty air in the cabinet if you do it right. Your faster more importantly.

How did you cut them out? Is that a premade design? What material or where can you buy it?

This looks amazing. Very well done IMO. I really wish I had the space to do it.

What are those tools with the black handle with yellow lettering in it?

they are bike tools. I recognize some bottom bracket tools, a chain whip, cartridge tools, and of course a couple of actual bottom brackets sitting in there.

Bingo. The logo on the tools is Nashbar's, a very well known, catalog/online bike store. Been around since the early '70's.
