RODSNRATFINKS....very nice box. However I can't make out that bottom pic. Looks like someone destroyed the bottom and made some cuts n there are some plastic boxes jammed in there. The box was once red?

Size: 100x64x25cm.

Looks like a nice box! Is that a roll-up front cover? Will look forward to seeing the drawers once you have them organized.

Just following up on my Dewalt box. I just added an LED light up top and ran the wires with some clothespins and shoe goo. That stuff hold awesome for this type of stuff. Im gluing up the powerstrip this evening. The light works awesome!

Howdy everyone. Thought it was time that I could contribute to this thread. I'm in the process of moving right now, old box was a HF 44. New is a stack Kennedy 8 drawer on the bottom and Williams Road chest on top. Hopefully keep some dust out of my tools with the drop down lid.

Nice setups. I like that kennedy/williams stack.

Hi everyone. First time caller. I recently got a good deal on an older Mac rollaway to replace my previous tool storage, cardboard boxes:

Nice box, a good drawer layout.

Those are cool. What is the front tambour door made out of?

Thanks. It's almost as big as my former coworker's Epiq. Of course, he's got six inches more drawer space, so total capacity is a lot higher in theory. There's no damage to the box, but yes, it was painted at some point. I wish they would have done a better job, as there's a fair amount of overspray in the drawers, but the box was reasonably well cared for.

My recent finds all in their place, minus the taco cart which I'm restoring.

My set up... Not stupid nice but it works. Keep my main tools in my red toolbox, and the black three drawer is my emergency/portable box I'm working on so I can throw it in my truck and help out a friend if needed.
Keep mostly Kobalt tools in the red box... And craftsman tools in the black one (lmao).

I like the red tool box. Is there just shelves behind the double doors, or more pull out drawers?

That red box from Lowes has really good quality and is very sturdy. It used to be labeled under a different brand but I forgot what it was. I don't think it was "Task Force".

There was a GJer here who was contemplating on lining his garage wall with these cabinets. I can't find his thread, though.

It's very nice for the price. 200 bucks, and doesn't wobble around or feel cheap. Has plenty of storage space as well. The drawers dont feel cheap or thin like some cheaper toolboxes do. Feels like it could stand up to some abuse.
When I outgrow it I might just buy a second one and put them size by side

Sold my KRA and got this combo for an incredible price. I can't put the hutch on top of the base because my house fuse panel is on that wall.

Bought a house back in July and had been working out of a few tiny travel toolboxes when my wife and parents surprised me with the HF 44" top and bottom as a Christmas gift. The wife topped it off with a Craftsman 350 piece tool set and a bunch of other tools. I don't cry often but when they took the sheet off and opened the drawers I almost lost it.

Still working on getting my socket drawer organized. This is the only drawer picture I've got.

Thanks, the tambour (roll up) door is aluminum. And there is no drawers but pegboards. So, next thing is to figure out a good solution for tool holders. And of course hang it to the wall (the hanger thing to do this was included).

That's a nice box. I was contemplating getting it (on sale at 179) but didn't. I now regret that decision, because at that price, I could have lined a wall with them.

I really dig the old SO boxes. What year is that box?

Good grief, you do the routine maintenance? Oil changes etc? Our fedex guy is a bundle of nerves. Looks like a lot of stress and a tough place to work.

The bottom box was around 92. Guy in my shop bought it new. Before he loaded his tools in it he noticed the bottom wide drawer sits low on the left. They tried a new slide. No luck. Holes drilled wrong from factory. So they made him a deal on a bigger box and I hounded the SO guy on what they were gonna do with it. They sold it to me for $1400 with no cosmetic warranty (big deal). I sold my current box for $600 and only had to come up with $800. It was basically brand new. The top box there is part of a used combo I bought around 2001 but I believe it was at least 10 yrs old when I bought it. I got the top, bottom and side box for $1500 (all roller bearing) the bottom and side are my home box. That 3 box combo is shallower than the bottom box pictured here..

Yes..trust me it is stressful..lots on your back in a station by yourself. My fleet as of now is pretty new. I have 33 trucks. Mostly 2011 and 2012 sprinters. Three 2014 sprinters and two 2013 isuzus. Half a dozen econolines. I started with the company in 91 working at ohare airport (heavy truck/ground equipment) in 95 I went to a three man shop and ended up here since 97 by myself.
