Bought a house back in July and had been working out of a few tiny travel toolboxes when my wife and parents surprised me with the HF 44" top and bottom as a Christmas gift. The wife topped it off with a Craftsman 350 piece tool set and a bunch of other tools. I don't cry often but when they took the sheet off and opened the drawers I almost lost it.

Still working on getting my socket drawer organized. This is the only drawer picture I've got.

Will do. Been lurking for a while on the boards and checking out everyone else's builds. Finally bought my first place back in July and it came with a 24x24 detached shop that I'm getting fixed up how I want it.

That's awesome!!! That's something you'll remember long after you've moved onto another house!
Definitely. This is my first real tool box other than the one in the bed of my truck!

Hang onto that one, brother. She's a keeper.

Welcome to GJ.

Thanks for the welcome! Agreed, definitely a keeper.

Did she have the tools organized right?

She actually had them organized pretty well. Had the sockets all laid out by "square size" as she called it. It was great.

Decided the box was getting too cramped, cleaned out the junk drawer so I could move some things around.

Before

After, moved the 3/4 drive to the lower drawer and shuffled some other things around.

Had to hang some filter wrenches on the end of the box. Just take up too much space in a drawer.

Heres my top drawer of my 56" mastercraft maximum roll cab. Only thing i dont like is that its only 16 inches deep. And its pretty much full haha. Its not the best but im pretty proud for a 17 yr old kid.

17 years old? Man, all my tools were 40 years old and mismatched when I was seventeen. I bought the majority of my tools from an old timers yard sale when I was ten (half of them were homemade) and the rest were given to me by my grandpa and my first boss.

No drawer shots, but here's my toolbox and my cart. The cart is filled with automotive specialty tools; the main box has more general things (screwdrivers, nutdrivers, and pliers in the top chest, and wrenches, ratchets, and sockets in the bottom, mostly).

Dang, That's the top box I wish I would have bought. Sears is completely out of them. I want the 18" deep chest.

That's a great set, wish they still did them. That's the exact setup I need.

ARRR what to do! I have a classic 78 I think!! My dealer has a lovely new KRL (Correct me if I'm wrong) in the colour I wont! But he wants my box and £1000. bumping my monthly payments to £90 (i'm in the UK) I getting the Classic pretty full, but not bursting, and since I work at a dealer I wont be getting much more. unless I do move back to an independent (highly unlikely) DO I just say YOLO?! (said that too much this year allready! I said that before buying an £18,000 car!!):lol:

I put the hutch on my classic 78 it freed up a lot of space and was effectively a cheaper way to achieve extra storage compared to getting a whole new box.
I really like the classic range, i think 700 quid would be about the most i would go for on a trade.
There will always be others especially if you routinely scan ebay..

That's a pretty good deal. My dealer has a matching one on his truck, he wants £2,400+ VAT for. He keeps trying to get me to replace me. Also has a nice black & pink one he keeps trying to sell me.

I was the same until I seen it, it really does look nice. I did wonder about a hutch. But where my bay it at work it would cause problems. My lift control us above my box!

I'll see what my bank balance is looking like, next week =)

Dammit I love the Snap On tools boxes, they are in a whole different league. Especially the green.

Are all three red boxes yours, and you're only replacing the stack on the left? Are you getting that much additional room?

Here is my new Kennedy Versa Bench. Going to get a slow restore with a vise mounted on top. The walls that the drawer slides mount on do not go all the way to the top plate. This allows you to use the 1/8" thick top plate for heavy work without worrying about affecting the alignment of the drawers. If any of you know how to remove this type of ball bearing slide, i could use some help!
Pictures of slide are in my other post.
