Sure would like to see a picture of that?

The first one I did was the socket tray and I put quite a bit in so the sides bow out a bit in the middle. I did the wrench trays last night and have been putting in a little at a time so I won't overfill. You just cut it flat when it's all set. The first pic is of the socket tray that is already cut.

I can't find the thread now, but someone on this forum suggested this in a topic about the module sets. That's actually how I found this site - searching for information about the modules in google.

Posted in another thread.. but realized I never added it to the official post.
Cornwell - 60" x 24" x 48" Next to it is an early style 40" Kobalt.. served me well and has held up under garage use.
Drawers are a bit more full these days :)

Very nice boxes you got there Justin. I've always had a thing for Cornwell boxes

Interesting keyhole location on the Kobalt chest as well.

Yeah the key/lock location for the Kobalt always seemed strange to me. The corners are kinda "angled" like how S/O did their early style boxes. I'm not sure who was producing these boxes for Kobalt/Lowes at the time but its roughly a '98 vintage. Back when Kobalt tools were made by Williams. Probably a Kennedy piece.

The Cornwell needs a couple of the lower handles replaced as the "grip latch" system isn't working right. I have a thread somewhere on here about trying to get replacements and getting no love from Cornwell or Kennedy.

Nice assortment of tools...

Who makes those filter wrenches on the bottom? I have one that looks very similar that's made in Japan by 3 Peaks.

The oil filter wrench I bought in the late 80's from Canadian Tire, best oil filter wrench I've ever used. 3 Peaks made in Japan

Bought off Craigslist today - KRL7022 in immaculate condition.

Nice score Ricleh... what'd you give for that? I've always been a fan of the two wide top drawer arrangement. In my book I'd toss sockets/ratchets in the top drawer and the slimmer drawer underneath would be perfect for wrenches. Nice box!

Hey guys. New to the site, in awe of some of the kit you guys have. And american garages are so much bigger than the typical british one!

Anyway, this was my first box I bought about 7 years ago, cheap Clarke one:

Image240.jpg

And since I've outgrown that (both in space and quality), I picked this up yesterday. Still in the shed awaiting a service on the drawer slides and moving over to the garage:

Image370.jpg

I don't have any photos of the tools just yet, but more of it is snap-on, bedford, facom, britool. There still some cheap stuff about too, but so far its either still working, or slowly being phased out and upgraded as funds allow. It's all just home use stuff, where I restore minis.

I paid $2400 for the box. It still has the Snapon binder and touch-up paint that originally came with the box plus all drawer liners and the 3 trays.

guess I will post mine. I moved a few years ago and still have no shop so all my stuff is scattered around the house. I addition to the boxes I would love to show the shop when it gets fully set up. Ive got a Bridgeport mill, Logan lathe, arc and mig welding units, blast cabinet, parts washer, anvil, brake and a host of other machine shop equiptment that is just lying in storage and driving me crazy that I can not use them.

But back to the boxes

First is the backup box that will be in the basement when the outdoor shop gets built. Good to have everything you need as a backup in the house though both my boxes are in it at this time.
Kennedy base cabinet with the basics but needing a few decent socket sets to complete the setup. Top is a Gestner oak unit with some machine tooling in it. I plan to re-paint the Kennedy. No real order to it but mostly good stuff with some junk sitting in it too.

Costco box is the main box. I mostly tinker with random things but not much with cars and my box reflects that. I honestly am not much of a car guy.

Nice pics! Your tools have seen some good use. That old "blue" colored US made dwell/tach dates back to the 1970's. That particular model was a staple in every "harry homeowner" tool box of the day.

I believe it was made/sold by "RAC" industries and many others who relabled it under their own brand. Very nice collection of vintage tools --

OK, fasten your seat belts, here are my El-Cheapo tool boxes ($200 for both:lol_hitti). Basic Craftsman wrenches and sockets as well as some other typical tools for the non-professional's home garage.

Well I finally got around to taking some pictures of the new tool box.

Picked up the HF lower cab for $320 on sale about a month ago and thus far it seems okay but not quite as good as most people make it out to be. (I would say its at about Cman BB level quality except with more slides on the big drawers)

On 1 side we we have a pile of pipe threaders and reamers and on the other side we have paint gun, 1/2" cordless drill, air hammer and DA set up with a buffer pad.

Warning to those who are planning on massively increasing the tool box size they have: don't just plan on buying the tool box but be prepared for the buying binge you will encounter afterward trying to fill it up.

Here's a few pictures of my setup , going to have to upgraded to a bigger box its kinda 50/50 now between a large snap on rollcab with a top or 40/53 inch rollcab and top box , as theirs alot of larger wrench's and 3/4 and 1 drive sockets in another box plus all the other heavy stuff

My new toolbox. Sold my top and bottom homak black/gold for the HF 41" because itll give me more options to extend the toolbox out. Plus the HF was a better quality. Overall
