Who knows?
This is my first post although I have lurked for a few months. When I moved from AZ to CO last year the moving company destroyed my Matco box and five Craftsman boxes. After researching this site among others I decided to replace the boxes with Tool Vault boxes from strictlytoolboxes. I am extremely happy with the boxes. They are way better quality than my Craftsman boxes and nearly as nice as my old Matco box. The price vs quality ratio on this box is very good. So I’ve started organizing using magnetic drawer labels and foam. Obviously I am prioritizing organization over space optimization this time. My previous boxes were not very organized and I am tired of searching for and losing tools. I don’t use tools for a living anymore but I should have organized like this 30 years ago. Here’s my wall of Tool Vault.

Wowwwwwwwww. THAT is a nice setup! I like it a lot! Mind if I ask what make the little mesh cart is though? I've seen it in other threads, but I can't remember who made it.

Thanks! That is an IKEA Raskog kitchen cart that is recommended in a couple threads here. I painted it to match the boxes. It's shockingly useful and was around $40 I think.

Those Ikea carts are now listed for $29.99 on their website and shows plenty of both colors in stock at my store in West Sacramento!

Thanks! IKEA does ring a bell now that you mention it. I'll have to snag one up sometime.

No IKEA stores near me...shipping is at ten bucks...but now that the price of the cart has fallen to 29...for 40 bucks after shipping it doesn't seem like that bad of a deal.

Seems like a killer deal. They have an awesome butcher block island also that I have wanted for a while to use as a workbench. I think it is like $199.

Picked up this super minty KRA4710 yesterday, I love the multiple small drawers.

Mounted my T-handle rack to the extra handle mounting holes, this box is so nice I would hate to have to make any extra holes.

Can you post some details on that box, dimensions and such? Don't see that one very often.

It measures 51" tall with the lid closed, 30" wide and 20" deep, I guess the idea was it was the equivalent of a top/bottom combo. It has 4 2" drawers, 5 4" drawers and 1 8" drawer.

Edited to add, 56" bottom, 44" top, side box designed for the 44" bottom. If flush to the front it is about 2" shorter than the 56". To me it looks a lot cleaner set back.

So, it's the KRA version of the KRL777?

I was not familiar with the KRL777 but I just looked it up, it does look like I have the KRA version of that box. For comparison, here's a picture of it next to my KRSC33 cart, as you can see it's not a whole lot bigger but the drawer layout gives me substantially more room than a cart. Because the majority of my tools are motorcycle related, I don't have a lot of need for super deep drawers, believe it or not i have everything in this box that I had in an full KRA2411, the only difference is my drawers are now mostly filled to the top as opposed to just covering the bottom part of the 2411 drawers.

Could you post some drawer pics? I'm interested in the motorcycle tools.
Also love the box, first time I've seen that style.

Picked it up on Friday, finally got it unpacked and 'installed' it yesterday. Very happy boy here. Now for the organization, this will only take two months.

this is a bit different...this box was made by my Dad in the 1960s. I used it in the 1970's as a mechanic helper (Kelly Springfield Tire Co.). I bent the center area a bit when I lost my key to the padlock. Also sprayed it with left over car paint from my 1967 Chevy. I think I would like to have it stripped and powder coated or repainted. Plan to give it to my grandson when he's old enough to have real tools. I showed it to my wife today, she says its real dirty and people would throw it out. LOL, Any suggestions would be great !! thanks

You are on the right track (Your wife however needs to stick to shoes and closet organization...), with the powder coating although a careful cleanup might also be great as it has your usage stamped into it. is the grandson teen years of toddler? you might do a simpler cleaning and detailing until you have an Idea what he will be in to.

What a great piece of family history. Three generations of the family (skipping one) using the same box? That is great! and worth more that an equivalent SO box IMO!

Nice.
Not gunna lie, loving the 24" adjustable wrench (i have one as well)
Next one ill be buying will be a 30"!

That was a special buy. Had to replace a pitman arm on a 2001 Tahoe and couldn't fit an impact socket. Next best thing was giant wrench! Just a little overkill

I'm very happy to post this box and call it mine. 68" Epiq with side cabinet. I upgraded from a KRL7022 and now have some room to grow.

Very nice Waggoner. I love that color. What becomes of the old box and the vidmar?

The Vidmar just got moved between my two work benches. Not sure what to do with the 7022 now. I'd really like to keep it since it was my first box ever, will probably move it out to my shop to clear up some space in the garage for the time being.

Cool. It's always nice when you can upgrade without having to trade in the old stuff.

Finally got around to putting my chargers up inside my hutch along with some led lighting so I can see something for a change. I added a little quality to the locker too.

Just need to make a spacer now to raise worktop up a few inches and make locker fit right, will be a lot nice working at that height too versus bending over now. My box is a 7023 so it's about 5" shorter than the 1023. Not sure what to put in spacer though, probably slide out drawer and/or work top combo.

How you like the half locker? I think I'm goin with the full on my 68". It is amazing how much you can cram in that box.

It actually holds a lot. I plan on moving the stationary shelf up a couple notches then I can put bigger items in the top drawer so they can stand up high.
