Here are my tool boxes at work. I built the top box about 9 years ago. it's nothing fancy, just plywood with oak fronts and handles. Ball bearing slides and box joints on the drawers.
The front panel locks it up like a kennedy box.

Not really the right thread, but does anyone know where to buy this box? It's a 6-drawer desktop Craftsman box, perfect for electronics and small lathe tooling.

And yes, I know there are misspellings on the drawers, it's not mine (yet).

::EDIT:: Google image search strikes it lucky. I searched by image, plus the terms "6 drawer" and toolbox. It's a Craftsman 965142 tool caddy, no longer available.
So... anyone know where to get one?

isn't that a mini side box? I don't know if they are available anymore, assuming it is what I think it is.

I'm not a huge fan of wooden boxes, but that is exceptionally nice. Great job on the build. Kinda funny as Kennedy makes a box just like that, but in metal. What do you typically work on? I spy some nice equipment in the background.

For about two months, my top drawer on my 44" box only opened to a certain point. It seemed to stop on the right side while the left side had more room to pull out. It annoyed me because I couldn't easily grab a socket out of the back, but never looked into it. Last night we were looking at it and I disengaged the top right slide, that was the culprit. The drawer opened all the way. The I engaged it, gave the drawer a gentle but solid pull, and broke the slide in for the rest of its travel. It worked. Then I did it for all my other drawers, Now I have full access to every drawer haha. I just never broke them in right off the bat, they all just needed to be extended a bit.

Ahhhh a Snap-On badged HF44!!!! Holy **** and it's filled with Snap-On tools! What the hell is wrong with you! You should have a legit Snap-On box filled with re-badged HF tools!

Go sell everything, re-mortgage your house and do it right!

In all seriousness though, nice setup! Are those all the green tools you have? More drawer pics please! I just started kinda collecting green (only a mini pick set so far) but I just can't justify repurchasing a bunch of the tools I already own just to have green, but every time I upgrade or warranty I'll take the old red ones home and replace work tools in green!

If you look back a page or two, i posted all the drawers on my box. I have a few more drawers of green handles. I sold my snap on box last year.

Boy looking at this thread makes me so jealous I don't work in a shop often. Mostly in the winter and the rest of the time we work out the trucks. I would love a nice box but it would stay empty.

My Home 56 HF with a mix of everything. Ran out of space, going to either get a 44 or a top. No SAE stuff since I only work on metric things.

Kaane, how do you like the Genius Screwdrivers?

I like them a lot. I bought them because my Wera's are impossible to keep clean when I am working on greasy stuff. So I wanted something easier to clean that won't break the budget. I paid $63 for entire set. It's well finished and comes with all the lengths I would ever need.

Hello Garage Journal!! First post here. This is a 56" combo box from Extreme Tools. My shop has an 8" C-purlin support that runs horizontally around the shop, so I had a buddy build a stand for the top box and slid them both under the purlin. The things a guy has to do due to limited space....
