I have the same box, same color. I love it, had it 2 years now. Hope yours works out great for you too.

Thank ya Red89gt. I have no complaints with it so far. In fact, my brother-in-law liked mine so much he bought one too. I see you have a Corvette convertible. How strange that mine came out of Chicago....

Stephen4785- I also have a "portable" toolbox, but mine is an F-150. It is a great thing when someone else pays for the tools you use. I have my personal collection (over 25 years now) and the tools the company pays for. It's great to be an American.....

I'm not a huge fan of wooden boxes, but that is exceptionally nice. Great job on the build. Kinda funny as Kennedy makes a box just like that, but in metal. What do you typically work on? I spy some nice equipment in the background.

I like the metal boxes too, but this was a winter project that I made in my basement to kill time when it's too cold outside. Tool and Die/ Moldmaking is my trade. I don't have the typical socket sets and mechanic type tools at work. Just don't need them. I do have all that stuff at home though.
I'll get some pics of those too, nothing special, just shade tree mechanic stuff that you guys have seen a million times.

I'm concerned it may be difficult to find what you are looking for in there

That's a smoking deal!!

Not at all. Know where every single tool is without thinking about. When I'm under a car I can tell someone go in the garage, second box in, third drawer down, grab me the wrench on the right side.

That works for me 99% of the time, but occasionally I get a helper who doesn't know his left from his right. Let's see what's inside them.

Plus it came with a few tools. The extensions and the tie rod tool are harbor freight but the rest are quality.

Which drawer do you want? Lol

Some sockets

Specialty wrenches

Philips drawer

1/2" drive

3/8" drive

Punch

Some American wrenches

More sockets and Allen

More wrenches and crowfoot

More wrenches

Long pliers

Vise grip

Dbe wrench

Some air tools and hammers

Wrenches, markers, 1/4" drive

Nut drivers, sockets, etc

Flathead

1/4",3/8",1/2" torque wrench

Some pliers

Small prybars and files

There is obviously much more but that's enough.

I know it looks bad. Obviously I would love to space it out but would need way more toolbox for that to happen. The important part is I know where everything is and can grab it right away to get to work. One day when I have a big shop I will get more boxes and get it up to garagejournal standards.

Damn! I'm almost sorry I asked. One thing, second picture, the top middle drawer; get the wrenches out of your parts drawer or the parts out of your wrench drawer. ;) You have an impressive collection of good old vintage tools there. Thanks for sharing.

It's been a while since I posted my box (before I started working in the field). I'll throw up some updated drawer pictures tomorrow if I remember!

Here's a top drawer pic from a few weeks ago. I've moved some stuff around since then. I've really got to figure out something as far as organization of my ratchet/extension drawer goes. They are all just tossed in with my metric wrenches.

Bighead, that is a nice collection. Lots of good stuff in there. Also, Miss January had a pretty nice rack.

I recently had a panic that my box was too full and there was no more space to be had. I just did a few hours worth of organizing and cleaning....viola space appeared. Not much leftover room, but no more panic. I took a few phone pics of some sample drawers.

Glad you finally found your triple bay 30" deep box. Great choice ! I love the 2 full length top drawers. My favorite Snap On box and drawer layout. Congrats!

Thanks!!! I appreciate your help on the one in Cleveland too. This was more then I wanted to spend but it worked out in the end.
