Thanks for the compliment. I planned on leaving it as is because the black paint rust spots are from where my granddad has it at work and a guy got pissed my granddad wouldn't let him borrow tools, so he dropped a load off the forklift on it. My granddad massaged it all back into place and put a little paint on it.

I hope your granddad gave him a beat down afterward. I like any tool box with a whiskey drawer.

Tail lights remind me of the 72 I used to have. ...but that had chrome down the side. So it might be a little newer than that.

haha wow you guys really dig my Truck. its a 76 GMC C15 that has been repainted. It has a 250 straight 6 with 3 speed on the column and a long bed. I'm the 3rd owner and I love this thing more than anything. Sorry to be off topic.

The hell with that cart, that's a sweet truck

lol thanks

LOL, you've been posting a lot as of late. I see this site is costing you a lot of money!:willy_nil

haha indeed, I'm actually in my period of gearing up, all my side money goes in my toolbox, I recently parted out my BMW and made few bucks out of it. here the old cart vs the new cart. Sanded the NAPA logo because I didnt liked it and sticked a SnapOn & a Mooneyes sticker to gave it a cool look. I'm well aware that is not a snap on cart, so for all the purist, chill out, its just a freaking sticker.

Does anyone make a stationary toolbox? It seems these would be more popular since you wouldnt have to waste away money, time and strength on casters. Instead, have some sort of stationary stand to hold the box so it wont get scratched or rust from being on the ground.

It's not "off topic". An earlier picture had a toolbox in the back of it.

Exactly what MD just said. Besides, we already saw the back, and we all wanted to see the front.

Great trucks are like women; we don't mind looking at the back, but we sure do look looking at the front too! :)

There is, if you dig in this forum you'll find alot of guys converting their toolboxes in stationary workbenches.

So you guys like cool trucks hauling toolbox :p I'm waiting to post my setup because I still have 700$ worth of tools in the mail. But here is a teaser. This is my previous truck 1996 Nissan hardbody hauling my brand new 72" box. (Sold the Nissan last year to get the real deal) I'll post my box probably next week. So stay tuned.

I have almost 'completed' my socket drawer. I have a few individual sockets in the mail, but otherwise it's complete. Metric on the right, fractional on the left. There are only a couple that I would consider duplicates, but I have a lot of 6pt/12pt versions of the same sockets. I might want one more ratchet, but that's it.

$500 Craigslist find. Older, but a very good box. I'm pleased with it.

Heres my setup. Have always had snap on boxes until now. The custom series boxes that cornwell has now are pretty nice. This one is 84w 46h 30d and was damn near 1300lbs empty without the hutch.

Thats a damn nice setup....lovin the organization. Never been big on the deep 12pt 1/2 but great to have to complete the scene there.

No you are never done but you do get to a point where it goes a long time before u get another socket and when u do it's usually a specialty socket where u run across a situation where u "need" it

well in my line of work I buy any tool if I find a deal socket or pliers or what, I have multiples of almost everything and that is in case I get in a bind and need two. plus I have the only box in the shop that provides all the tools, so when we have multiple vehicles or equipment broke down, we can work faster without waiting on tools

There is no such thing as a complete socket drawer.

Haha, it's actually TWO sockets in two trays! The Proto 16mm deep 1/2" drive deep 12pt is shipping from Zoro (it was missing from my order) and a Proto 15mm 1/4" drive shallow 12pt will be delivered tomorrow via Amazon.

And yes, I agree with everyone telling me I will never be 'done' buying sockets. Maybe done for this month at least!

Well first time posting here. So here is my box set up. Might be upgrading to an 84in epic soon as well. I'm a diesel mechanic for a garbage company.

Unfortunate, but true. Earlier this year I had to purchase a set of proprietary sockets just to remove some, you guesses it proprietary fasteners.

@hauler yess it is and a first run 900 series mac roll cart that i upgrade to new three locking prong drawer slides from the newest matco roll cart. Got a good deal on a full set of those and they worked perfectly after a little time with a cut off wheel

@zkling, not sure what year, I think it was mid '80s, will have to check the date stamp when I get back to work. I've had it for over 5 years, gets towed around between some of the DFW hangars.

Would love to find a KR562 someday, I know of two in my area and neither owner wants to sell, however cash in hand may talk.

I bought this Husky 52" mobile workbench for $299 a few weeks ago, the price has since been raised to $430. I'm very happy with the box, especially for the price.

The box is sitting on a ~12" tall stand which makes it easier to reach, I'll build some drawers for the stand when I have time.

Lista offers all their boxes with a fixed base or wheels. The issue comes when it is time to clean or move, not to many have a forklift around.
Check out Lista deals at motorheadextraordinare.com I got a great deal on mine there, about half price to a SO.

Been awhile since I posted my set up. Left my shop of over 3 years this past year to a new shop. Decided to ditch my locker for a nice sized cart as the locker was just gathering junk. Here a before and after.

And now

Very happy with my current set up.
