To this, so far,

I gave all the mastercraft stuff in the first pic to a couple of my friends!! I kept some old craftsman usa and challenger canada pieces for sentimental value!!

You'll love the new stuff!

. Was it from the rock n roll cab?

Sorta. I had out grown my old box over a year ago. I was talking with the Matco man about just adding a locker, but since my set up was over ten years old the designs were different. It would have looked bad. So it was then I started shopping for a new box. My Snap-On man had a small box in that flat blue and I fell in love right away. I was talking to Matco still so I gave him a shot at it too. For a Matco four bay, two locker with a hutch against the Snap-On one you see pictured. Snap-On was 5k less and equal on trade. In addition to that, Snap-On was there every single week. Matco once in a blue moon, at best, until i started talking box, and then he was there every week. So, I pretty much had it designed before the R&R truck ever showed up.

Nice job K-dog how do you like the led lights and you didn't like the power drawer huh?

James

So far I LIKE the light. I am not thrilled. It came with a switch that turns the light off when you close the hutch. Apparently it was not designed for my box since I had to modify it. :( It works now. :)

What does the guy think that can't see out his window anymore?:)

Its just a hallway from the office to the bath rooms. Some times customers watch me work through that window.

Oh well.... ;)

Thanks for the kind words every one. Yeah I recon its the last box I will ever buy. I have about 12 to 15 years before I retire so this will be it.
I was in the shop almost all weekend long, switching over and getting settled and what not. now I get to spend the next month and a half

Heres mine. Still working on organizing it how i'd like it. The bottom drawer thats got the big empty space in the middle is were my new milwaukee 1/2 m18 fuel impact box is goin. Still have to order that 1/2 snap on wrench that i lost, and yeah i'm still missing some sockets lol :willy_nil. Really impressed with the quality of this box, the side self and outside of the lid are getting some bedliner on them to help protect it. The box is at home right now but will go to work once i start my new job in a week. Also the large top right drawer thats empty is where i'll throw my lunch, phone charger, and other personal stuff. I'm a newbie so dont hate lol.

My home box, a bit of a work in progress... especially the socket drawer...

Ya, the socket drawer could use a little TLC.;)

It ***** having to have two sets of tools isn't doesn't it?

I don't quite have as many at tools work as I do at home because my work supplies anything over 1" and most specialty tools. My home shop is also MUCH better equipped as far as equipment goes than the shop at my full-time job. No wonder why I would much rather work at home.

No idea, I'm in Chicago this week for training but I can grab it for you when I get back.

Sounds good. I'll check my catalog when I get to work tomorrow and send my Mac guy a text if I find it beforehand, I'll let you know if I do too.

My boss is in Chicago this week too. For the service manager meeting, and he's supposed to go to a class for something I think. I'm not sure he doesn't talk much about what he does unless we call him while he's there. Lol.

Decided to change my old Mastercraft 3 drawers for a bigger 26" Snap On 9 drawers for when I have to work at friends houses. I'm tired to always work out of others box. There's always tools missing, its unorganized or even worst when they dont have any tools and you work with the bare minimum because thats all you can carry. One day this box will become a Race trailer tool box but for now, it'll save some dumbasses broken down the road.

Well I just realized I've never posted my setup in here. Anyway. Here's my Snap-On 722/791 combo.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1430142154.309849.jpg

I keep my big stuff, specialty tools, or any other tools I don't use all day everyday.

Then my all day everyday stuff goes in my Mac MB199UC

I know it's not organized as nice as some on here. But I'm a heavy diesel flat rate tech so I have everything organized in a way that the tools I use the most are the easiest to get to

Nothing really special in there it's a disorganized mess because I still don't know what I want to do with everything. But I snapped some pictures anyway.

So to update a little. My Mac dealer showed up today with a side box for my cart that FedEx damaged in shipping but the cardboard box looked okay.

However the box itself was damaged pretty good. So he ordered a new one for the guy and had this one on the back of the truck. I asked what he was going to do with it and he said he had to take it home and destroy it.

Asked how much to save it from certain death and he said here's my cost I'll drop $50 off that, still got full warranty and everything mechanically is sound. Just cosmetic damage. So for just shy of $400 I've got a $900 side box.

Good score!
That dent shouldn't be to hard to gently pound out or you could just use as you are.....but you gotta paint it green to match

No it's not too bad. I've been debating, we have a body shop at work that I might send it to to get the paint matched and dent fixed.

For right now I had to bolt it together to check out the extent of the damage. The locks don't work. But we've got all the parts ordered so next week that'll be taken care of.

Luckily the slides don't hook to the walls, they have mounting points in about 6 inches. So the slides and drawers all work perfect. I'll get the locks fixed and then just have to figure out what I'll move into the box.
