What is a "tuner kids"? Just wondering what that even means.

The tools in question appear to be lock out hasps...I've never seen those exact ones so who knows.

Got to love those save my a_ _ drawers.

That drawer has saved my *** on numerous occasions!

G-Ram What are the 3 flat wrench looking things behind your coffee cup in socket drawer used for?

We call them lockout scissors. Everything has a master disconnect switch, cuts all power. One end of scissor goes through switch when in the off position, and then our lock with tag goes on.

Looks like Lock outs to me.

A tuner is someone who takes an import and modifies it to actually perform better. Tuners do not put those stupid tow hooks on.

Ricers use those tow hooks. Most people think ricer is slang for people who drive asian cars. It actually stands for Race-Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement (RICE) meaning these kids do things to make them look "cool" but do little to nothing to actually modify it's performance.

sometimes the towhooks are there for a reason. My cars stock and for this season at our local track we're okayed to use mounting points under the car as long as we have our strap in the car and we have to get under to hook it up if we go in the sand trap. But next year We have to have hooks.

Coming right out the grill and the rear one is going to come right out the back bumper. So you never really know why some people have them on there.

I'll admit some kids are straight up ricers and have them for looks.

Anyways back to the toolboxes!!!!!!!!

It looks slightly different that this on the website, but the pictures are not always accurate.

Snap on YA 3182 A they come in three lengths, these are the longest. I splice them together by riveting a plate to the joint for my wrench drawer. I got some new on eBay and was then shocked when my useless SO dealer brought me some also.

So I had some time to move some stuff to my carts new side box. I'll probably change it up some and grab more of the things I use the most from my main box. But for now this works.

Same story here. My car comes with factory tow hooks, so I'm good for track days. It was a few years ago where my local track (or two) mandated readily accessible tow hooks. Some guys cars did not come with them stock, so they were forced to add aftermarket tow hooks.

The track crew wants to yank your car back onto the track asap...that's the reason for mandating them, just like you say.

I prefer the strap style versus aluminum style. Yes, the aluminium can appear ricey unfortunately.

Socket drawer is almost complete, just need 1/2 shallow metric...

20150502_004044_resized.jpg

Probably don't need any more ratchets, ok maybe one more 1/2, and some stubbies... Lol...

One of my favorites already is the orange handled flex 1/4" drive... It works awesome in the engine bay on small fasteners in tight places... Also nice having the right depth socket for different jobs...

You all seem to have great boxes, and they continue to inspire me!
I'm trying to consolidate my wrenches and sockets into less drawers... And still progressing on my little home shop...I'm not a mechanic, just a carpet cleaner who tries to fix most of his own stuff. The equipment keeps getting bigger, now I'm looking into 3/4 inch drive tools to work on this truck more.

Post more pictures of your drawers I'm loving them!!

I have been doing some rearranging!!

screwdrivers,

P1080693.JPG

Some made in USA Klein, the Vaco was made in USA and I think they were bought out by Klein... ITC is a Canadian company but I am not sure where the tools are made... The old orange one is a Phillips I have had for years, not sure of the brand but it says made in Canada on the handle...

P1080703.JPG

Mostly Channelock here, the old red crimps are Gardner Benders, the small yellow strippers are made by Ripley Company Miller... The Green lee snips are made in China and will be replaced with some Channelocks...

P1080704.JPG

No explanation needed here, but the out of place looking pliers are old Proto Challenger USA, so they stay!! Those M/C ones are on the replacement list...

Ordered it around 3 weeks ago. Just standard red. Got lucky because they already had the box built just had to wait for the power top.

Thanks!
If you need someone else to help you get the extra tools out of the way I can send you my address and money! ;)

I probably could get a few bucks for the stuff, the IR 231 is like new but I never will use it as my Dewalt 20v has more torque... Instead I decided to divy them up between friends that don't have much but will use them...

I am doing a paging system install at a homeless drop in center right now, and the full time maintenance guys don't have very many tools in the shop and sure can't afford to buy any... I am going to donate the old full set of M/C screwdrivers, 10" husky crescent wrench, and the greenlee snips and crimper to them...

Btw, cool family you have there!!

PM me your address and I will go out and get a made in Canada tool and send it to you...
