Nice Box! There is a You Tube video on how to swap ends on the power strip so that the switch can be accessed from the front rather than the rear :) As you plug things in you will find that the switch is not easily accessible.

Enjoy!

Just a used classic I got 3 years ago, but I love it...thinking of adding a green krsc43 soon...didn't want to pay the price for a top so I made my own

Don't see many purple ones. There was a 3-bay purple top cab for cheap on our local CL here a while back but I didn't get it because I figured I'd never find a buyer with a barney box!:bounce:

No. My father was a tech at a dealer for 30 years, and before that owned his own shop. This was all his

Gotcha. I just noticed a lot of dust on blow-molded boxes and drawer liners and thought it looked like the remnants of a body shop employee.

I used to have that issue as in my old shop did mechanical and body work. When I built my shop at home back in 1995 I swore I would NEVER do body work or paint in my home shop for that very reason. That fine body dust gets everywhere.:shocking:

Dad passed a year ago. He lived in the desert and this sat in storage for a year till i could bring myself to move it. I'm still cleaning it.

I avoid body shop boxes like the plague. The environment is hell on boxes, especially the old friction slides.

Sorry to hear of his passing but that is awesome you at least have a need and desire for them, regardless the circumstances in which you obtained them. I am sure he would have wanted you to have and use them. Handed down tools always feel better in your hands anyways because they have a history behind them. I wasn't that lucky as my dad's tool collection was a hodge podge assortment and I had other family members get to them long before me, however, my son will get all mine someday and I hope he appreciates them.

Yes, the dust takes its toll on slides.

Thankfully his two brothers knew better than to come looking. Mom laid it out right after dad passed, these tools were mine, and that was his wish. I grew up knowing these tools were how I was fed, clothed, and supported. So they have a value to me that's immeasurable.

This is why my grandpa (who did it for fifty years), built a paint booth at his house. I've always been jealous.

I think it's just the protective wrap that came with the stainless cover but hasn't been taken off

I love that box on the right. Story?

Yeah, inquiring minds want to know the story. Looks like a 7023 with a full size work center and the side locker. I dig the color, its like my boxes brother. I could use a locker like that!

Heck yes the right side is orange!

Yes sir Moto. Just another deal. Paid a bit more than I usually do but still a good deal. It had been on craigslist a while and I had been watching it and I saw the price drop once, then again a few days later and I threw him the standard low ball offer, couple words back and forth and I was headed to get it. Not too much of a story but it's pretty nice id almost keep it. Glad y'all like it.
