I hope this Husky box goes to all stores. Looks to be a much better value and a better box than the 56" Harbor Freight box. I will take Made in Canada over China any day. I would buy this box if I could.

My recent addition of a KRL1033 (few posting back) replaced two Husky boxes, drawers with a minimum amount of weight were having slide problems. The drawers that were loaded with heavy stuff were starting to distort.

I always really liked the 1700.

I kinda kick myself in the **** for trading in my 1700 but he gave me a great deal on it and it allowed me to get the boxes for my workbench.

What are the details on that box? I couldn't find your original post & don't see it searching online. How are the drawers? I've got the 40" & have issues with some drawers locking sometimes but a buddy of mine has the 52" with the griplatch style drawers & it seems much better built but I don't want another 18" deep box.

Also it helps save time because you always know where something is in the box! I've always had people give me **** for my tool box, tool bag and even my hockey bag being soo organized...but they ask me for something and it takes me 2 seconds to grab, I ask them and I wait for 5 mins as they comb through their clutter.

I hear you. My toolbox may not be the best to look at, but the inside, well, you know did good when you tell your (non technical) wife where anything in the box is over the phone and it takes her 30 seconds to find it when she doesn't even know the tool you're describing.

That has got to be one of the coolest mac boxes I ever seen.
I love the drawer size layout and I like that "secret" full width bottom drawer. Very unique. Any idea how old that is?
You should get ahold of a newer bigger Mac emblem and stick on it!

My 1700, had been used every day of its life by a heavy equipment tech. All the slides are super worn and some were falling apart when I got it. I took all the slides out and cleaned every inch of the box, then with a little bit of metal work, I repaired the damaged slides and installed new bushings from Accuride. Beats the Taiwanese replacement slides they have for this box. Now they work almost like new.

Hopefully the pics show up. Lurked around here (mostly just this thread) for tool box **** and set up ideas. I'm very particular about my organization. Picked up this KRL722 setup brand new last year for a relatively good deal after going flat rate.

This Craftsman setup was from my lube tech days and was moved home after getting the new box. I got that for a pretty good deal since I was working at a Sears Auto Center at the time and got discounts.

I would love to switch over to an Epiq or KRL1023, but too expensive and I don't have or need the amount of tools that would warrant a big box like that. On the other hand, if I did, these Extreme boxes are super cheap (actually cheaper than my KRL722...)

It's got 11 drawers dual hundred pound slides on the top drawer and deep lower. The 3 lowers have space and the notch for extra slides. I'm going to make a hard wood top for it and have it rhino lined. I'm happy with the buy, especially with the 11% mail in rebate they gave me because Menards is doing it right now

90z car i think its an 8 oz hammer and i use it alot. just the right size for light duty work or precise stuff.

project shadow the hf punchs work really well. i dont use them alot but for a cheep set to wail on they work just fine. idk how to really have a opinion on punch's i smack them and they havent broke yet, 2 years of automotive use so i think they are ****.

Former sears tech here. Got a returned cman ball bearing free because it was going in the trash. Bought the 309? pc set for about 150 with my discount then bought the same set off a buddy that quit for 20 bucks in a hf 5 drawer cart with a bunch of other stuff (now the majority of my home setup) Made out like a bandit but now I can't justify upgrading with so many sockets.
