I'm a GM ASEP student starting my addiction! This thread sure didn't help! Haha so much great stuff on here! But this is my Harbor Freight 5 Drawer Cart with a little mix of everything! Just a basic set because I have to travel with my toolbox back and forth to school! I love this cart! Extremely jealous of everybody's set up! But I know my day will come!

Hey CrazyDave, what was the box you replaced? I like the small bay on the right and no full length drawer.

Anybody have some idea on how to organize this a little more efficiently?

Needn't be a hard *** nor a dumb *** ,, just cover your ***

Only other way to do it is to move them to the deeper drawer and use plier racks. That's what I had to do
Here's mine.

Milwaukee tool chest.
Just discovered it's not wide enough by about .25" to fit the 3/8" Lisle socket trays. I tried it angled and the drawer opens and closes fine.

My first box that will be pretty much personal automoive maintenance. So I didn't really need a huge box. Still aquiring some tools so I'm just working out how I want to organize it. But build quality wise, the box is grest! Doors roll moothly. Soft close drawers are nice. Keeps tools from flying arounf if you ever accidentally slam the drawers shut.

I might end up switching to Tekton 188X socket holders. They look pretty slick for me needs.

As mentioned before have you thought about using the stand up socket trays like hansen or kobalt. I have the kobalt and the HF trays both are a cheap knock off of hansen trays. I couldnt justify hansen for my personal restortion shop so got the forementioned ones.

The HF onces take up more room if I recall. There longer I think. It's been a couple of years since i compared them to my Hansen trays. Something to think about when you don't have really deep drawers.

Here's one post from a while back. Also a couple more pictures on the next page. I just realized how messy it all looks. My plier drawer is a lot more organized now that I have two plier racks. I've added a bunch of tools and another Vidmar to the garage as well.
All tools are 99% Snap-On, I keep the lesser tools in other boxes.

I started out with hansen trays but they break pretty easy so I brought them home & got some from hf. I've had one post snap off but they're lifetime warranty so I got a whole new set. Kobalts are also nice. I have one & like the hansens they have different colors for sae & mertic which isn't necessary but I like the look.

How does one break a tray? I'v had mine for a couple of years now and there look just as new as when I got them. All they do is hold a socket lol

I got most of my tools transferred over to the 68", unwrapped the top and trimmed up a SO unidirectional rubber mat for the top.

How much? I had a red double bank Tech series. I miss that box. It was a tank. I wish I had the triple bank because I would still have it.

Hey another Int'l owner!
That looks similar to my VRB 4211, but mine doesn't have the rivets. is it the VRB series or am I missing something?
