I was given this one from dad when I was a kid. It has the very first air freshener I ever bought on it. The 4 girl in bikini's in a Chevy p/u. Great box, will never part with it. It's made by MB Century from Chicago.

Warrantying the slides and getting a new lock on the box. In the pic, you can see the draws from the Mac on top of a rolling project Craftsman box.

My new box came into day :bounce:

here is a pick of it, It had graphic content so I had to censor it. Other then that the green is really nice, its much better then in the photo taken with a Blackberry.

You do look a little pleased with it. Like you're saying something along the lines of "This IS SNAP-ON!!"

You look a little familiar, Diesel, do i know you from somewhere? :headscrat

I don't blame you for covering your face, I would too if it was me. Imagine walking down a street and cars slowing down to have people yelling "You ****" at me.

Congrats on your new box. Thats my dream box only in Electric Orange

i also want a hutch, but me being 6'4 isnt in my favor. ill probably trade in this box within the next 2 years and get a triple bay box with riser. just dont feel like spending 3 grand on a hutch when i know im gonna have to upgrade to a triple bay box within the next few years.

all my left hand drawers have bs in them. top left is paperwork and R.O.'s. 2nd is pens, pocket screwdrivers, etc. 3rd is all my electrical tools, 4th is a parts bin, and the bottom has other misc. stuff. my lower bigger drawers, have slider hammer, bearing splitters, gear pullers, pitman, etc. also, tap and die sets, cooling system pressure tester, bolt extractors, stud removers, etc. just didnt take pictures of all them.

I love the green striking pry bars. I have them in red, but wanted the green to match my screwdrivers. Very nice!

Hell, that's pocket change for you diesel mechs. :D

I think it's a myth us diesel guys get paid better than automotive guys.I definitely got paid more in automotive shops than I did as a diesel mechanic. Most diesel shops aren't flat rate.

That's an awesome color on that box diesel_crawler,I wouldn't trade it for orange.Congrats!

I pay for all my tools with cash. It is funny to see the reaction of the snap on guy. For me it isn't as much that I make obscene $$ as a mechanic. I am also very lucky to have a wife that makes really decent money as a nurse.

Electric Orange KRL1022 I recently bought for $3K........still need to decide/order/buy new socket/wrench holders and transfer tools from old boxes..............

I was SO CLOSE to ordering the 56" EXTREME combo (Bottom/Top) for $1600, but this came along. Hope I'm ultimately happy with my decision. This should be the last box I ever buy. Would be nice If I can get good resale.

(Picture shows sellers tools, which I did not buy)

Leaning toward the HANSEN socket holders, but like everything else in my life I always procrastinate and can never decide.

I picked up inside my trailer as I figured loading in/out of my pick-up was just too difficult and didnt want to hurt anything/anybody............

OK I got the stuff all in my new box, i don't know if it is going to stay this way i need to buy new socket rails wrench racks etc. Sorry about the high flash my shop has awful lighting for pictures. Before any one asks, i had to work in a high trafic area to the rest of the shop so alot of my stuff has blue paint on it which i am going to clean off now that i have my own bay in the corner and wont have every one walking by my bench and tool box.
Enjoy.

Thats a nice setup Diesel your tool selection is so much like mine it's actually a little creepy, what make is your 3/4 drive stuff?

Ratchet and Extensions are Snap on and the sockets are made by Gray. They were a gift from my grandfather when he Retired from caterpillar. There is on 3/4 ratchet the one with the handle still on it, i think it is made by Westward but it was free so heck why not.

A black Metabo (?) from Walter ??

That's a Walter 4 1/2 with the veritable speed control on it. I like it for doing the finishing work on Stainless steel or when i have to sand up 200+ parts makes my wrist not so sore.

Diesel Crawler- I think your gonna have to use all that extra space as an excuse to "have" to buy more tools..!!:lol_hitti

Yeah I know, i have everything I want all made into a list already in the order i am buying it. printed off and in the box for ever time the Snap on man comes around.

Whats the deal with the ratchets with the Snapon handles; are they Bluepoint, Gray Canada or a custom Snapon handle install?

Diesel_Crawler, go to Costco and get you some cardboard trays to keep your files in. Seeing them lay so close to the side of the drawer is making me cringe. :shocking:

This tray here is a CoffeeMate tray.

I'm hoping you guys dont flame me, but I'm posting these pics of my initial xfer of "tools" into my KRL1022. Not being a professional mechanic, and being cheap and frugal I never went with ALL SnapOn or MAC.

This is my lifetime hodge podge collection. I laid the Snap-On Rachets on top just so you see. I also have 12 pt std SnapOn combo wrenches. Are not 6pt going to be better for my newly plated Camaro bolts (show car restoration)

I also need to learn how best to replace missing sockets and wrenches.

I really dont want to start over, dont have any specific budget, but would like to add some of your "must have items"

Some of my junk tools need to "go away" and I'll be doing that. I'm just looking for good suggestions on socket holders (HANSEN?) more or different wrench holders.

Also thinking about box end (both end) gear wrenches or ???

Anyway, here goes ........................
