Holy **** that's a monster compared to the old one! Congrats!

My boss would kill me if I showed up with something that took up that much real estate...:lol_hitti

Yeah, its flipping huge. Pictures don't do it justice. Thing looks awesome. Personally I think the Fit and finish is right up there with my coworkers Matco. I think I like the depth most. 30 inches is incredible.

Just have a little HF cart. I painted it with some rustoleom Truck bed liner. Came out decent. If I could do it over again, i'd use something else, maybe a different brand truck bed liner. This stuff was expensive, ~$7 a can and I used 7.5 cans
And I didn't even do the drawers yet :lol_hitti

Was price the only thing you didn't like? I was going to do that with a small, beat-up toolbox I have but I did a spray out and the texture was a hair less textured that I had imagined. It would have been good for the outside but I wanted something heavier for the drawers. Was thinking of a small can of roll on bedliner for the drawers but haven't got around to any of it.

Yours looks good, I like it. I'm kind of surprised there aren't more bedliner toolboxes. I mean, I love the clean and glossy look on most boxes but well done bedliner also looks good...and it's different.

She looks very nice, congrats. I'd like to see one up close to see the quality and finish. I'd love something like that without spending $20,000 plus lol.

Also Made socket rack to free up some space in the drawers

Looks similar to the socket rail I made last year. When you make them yourself they are way nicer because you can put the rails where u want. The ones you can buy like the blue point setup is just too large and takes up way too much space for what it offers
Very nice

If you don't mind telling everyone, what was your total price out the door for that thing? Looks clean!

Holy cow man! Congrats to you Jake. Heck of an upgrade you've got there.

Crazy to think that the sockets that took up the entire top of the Craftsman now fit in ONE drawer. 30 inches deep, wow! One of these days I'll have to pick one of these boxes up. I'm just a "home" mechanic, but I've got enough tools to justify a box that big. I'm living out of two 40-inch stacks and two 26-stacks right now. I'll check out the video once I get home.

No I don't mind at all. It was tax free cause it came from out of state, and free shipping, Shannon down at Strictly Tool Boxes was awesome to work with, and the total was a little under six thousand, thats the lockers, stainless top, box, hutch, and springs casters. Definitely worth it.

Wow, talk about chock full of quality! Have any shots of the wider drawers handy? Those side drawers are so loaded I can only imagine what the other drawers are like.

I did a little rearranging and got some pictures of the big drawers. The Homak box is where I keep most of my most used hand tools. I mounted my old snapon to the side and have my pry bars , large pliers ,filter wrenches , drill bits , taps and dies and etc. I have two side boxes for my large wrenches , hammers ,Jacks and pullers. In the cab I keep all my testing equipment, air tools and power tools. This is the bottom large drawer at the bottom is my T handles . Got screwdrivers cramped on top, flare nut crows foot sets, short snap on he sets, and impact driver.

My 3/8 drawer it's stacked full.

Top of box rearranged with all my 1/2

My 1" and 3/4" stuff.

You've packed what many would "need" a 56" monster box to hold into one top box, and it's still in a manner that you could quickly find what you need.

I applaud you sir, very well done.

Except every other drawer is a mess [emoji23] time for an upgrade I'd say.

Thanks. So far it's been working pretty good. I'd love to get a real tool chest setup but it wouldn't get used. 90% of my work is in the field. Not having a real service truck makes it hard to keep things organized and easily accessible. My side boxes I have to get everything out just to get one thing.

Yeah, it would be price. I like the texture of rustoleum, but it doesn't go far.
Since it's "thickish" only maybe half the can is the liner the rest is the solvent/propellant. I didn't even do the drawer faces or the handle since I was thinking of using a different brand. That and because the only way it would spray nice was upside down, and that wasted more product.
I was thinking of buying a big can and just buying a cheap spray gun from HF and shoot it with that.

Yeah, and you get the satisfaction of making it yourself. That and the snap on truck wanted $100 for the blue point one.

The next best upgrade would be a service bed, but unfortunately that isn't going to happen so I have to make do with this. You should see the cab of the truck. Barely room for me. I can't go bigger because I need to have room to put chemical drums .

That isn't a mess. Worked with folks with FAR worse and less packed in. Hell, my road box wasn't that far off :D.

As I said, plenty of folks (especially on here) would need a 56" box for all the excessive breathing room their tools need between each other.
