Please report back with a quick review when you get your new MasterForce box set up. I plan to order one in black when they go on sale again.

Well they might not be the best pictures, but here they are... don't hate on me the camera lens is broken

My boxes at work. Nothing fancy about them. Mostly filled with snap on and USA Craftsman stuff.

Thanks. So far it's been working pretty good. I'd love to get a real tool chest setup but it wouldn't get used. 90% of my work is in the field. Not having a real service truck makes it hard to keep things organized and easily accessible. My side boxes I have to get everything out just to get one thing.

I feel your pain I do road service out of a regular work van I would kill to have a larger utility body van. It ***** to be limited to a small box while having a need for a large selection of tools since there's no one you can borrow tools from on the road. It certainly gives you a good sense of making it work with what tools are available to you

That isn't a mess. Worked with folks with FAR worse and less packed in. Hell, my road box wasn't that far off :D.

As I said, plenty of folks (especially on here) would need a 56" box for all the excessive breathing room their tools need between each other.

I completely agree. 90% of the triple bank boxes I see on here.....the tools can easily be put in a double bank. But a lot of people like to keep everything in the bulky plastic trays and cases and keep inches of breathing room which is fine......I'm just commenting on the overall of which I have seen

Love it. Reminds me of my garage. Half the guys on this site have a box that's half full and complain they need more room. I understand that time is money but I bet you can find a tool just as fast as someone with all the oem trays 95% of the time.

Well I traded in my KRL722/791 combo today. Snap-On man gave me $1500 more for it than I bought it from him for 3 years ago.
96532762fc9f1376e4990816ebcdbd7c.jpg

I got a 95th Anniversary KRL1163 to replace it with. I wanted a bigger roll cab with no top box. Now I thought this box would have the same storage room as my old box.

I way underestimated that. This new box is pretty damn big. The deeper drawers allow me to fit the larger tools I have much better and more efficiently. So now I'm going to have tons of empty space. But that's alright. I basically stole the box. Eventually I'll get more stuff in it.

Anyways here are the pics. I haven't transferred all the tools yet but here's the good stuff.

Oh and this popped out when I opened the drawer. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it.

She is a cutie!!

John

Thanks she's my world. And my only child for 5 more months. My wife is due with our second daughter in May.

I don't think she weighs enough to test the drawer slides out.

She's pretty stout. Lol. But shoot I don't even weigh enough to test the slides. Haha. But until I get some tools to put in that drawer. I'm thinking about throwing a pillow in there so I can take naps on my lunch break haha.

Yes it should be pretty smooth. I mean you will tell you have weight in them but it should be very easy to open and shut.
What's going on in that picture? Cheech and Chong hanging out with you???!!!

Yeah like was said above. You'll tell they're loaded but very smooth. They feel better to me when they have some weight in them.

Yes sir! I work at a performance shop that works primarily on SVT's and high performance Fords. I'm also a little bias considering I do own a 03 Cobra, its quite the fun car!

So I totally underestimated how much room this would have compared to my other old box. I've got everything in it now. Here are some drawer pics.

The next best upgrade would be a service bed, but unfortunately that isn't going to happen so I have to make do with this. You should see the cab of the truck. Barely room for me. I can't go bigger because I need to have room to put chemical drums .

That is sweet. Love the "old" mechanic pics like this. I have one of my dad getting a haircut in the shop about 82. The tools and cars in the background are almost as good as catching him with long hair lol

May as well post this. 72" x 30" Montezuma with raise and release drawers. Want to drawer pics once I have kinda figured out a layout I like.

Finally upgrading from my 56" Mastercraft. This box is massive. Swallowed everything in my 56" roll away + 26" top chest. The 30" (27.5" actually) deep drawers are really quite nice. Finally able to lay tools out square, not diagonal due to lack of depth. Had a 1/8" steel top made to go over the supplied mdf top. I work on the box, so I wanted something that was going to stand up.

I am looking into the possibility of getting a few of the 2.5" high smaller drawers to replace some of the mid height ones. I prefer square inches to cubic inches.

One critique. The drawer slides do not open all the way. With a drawer at full extension, I am left with about 2" of drawer that is still tucked into the box. That being said, all in, I paid $2100 Canadian. For a box that I would say is 80% of the quality of a comparable snap on. I am happy.

Burke, where's all the sockets? Seriously, who makes that pickle fork set? Looks good and tall. How do you like it?

The sockets, ratchets, smaller wrenches and most of my basic tool set are all in my cart. My work area is so big and I'm flat rate. So I have as much stuff in my cart as I can push, organized according to how much it gets used. I can honestly go all day and only get into my main box once or twice.

As far as the pickle fork set. It's a no name set I got off eBay for like $20

I'm a heavy truck tech so it doesn't see much use. But occasionally I'll do a DOT inspection on a pickup truck that needs a ball joint or something and I'll use this set. I've only used it twice but it's earned its keep.

I've had the same box for two years now, it's well worth it.

Did you change the drawer configuration on the left bank? The drawers not opening full extension is irritating, but I just put my least used stuff at the back. I plan on changing the fixed castors to the left side.

Yes I did. The top left drawer is my paper flashlights pens etc drawer. I didn't like it down one level. I also played with the two large bottom drawers on each corner. I had them both on one bank, but found one on each corner works better for me. I am contemplating taking my top long drawer (sockets and ratchets) and swapping it with the two long 2 1/2" drawers (wrenches, hammers, prybars). I feel like I am always closing the socket drawer to grab a wrench below it.

I like my fixed casters in the middle, as I can spin the box on the spot. I usually have it in between two lifts, so being able to spin it on the spot is nice. I do kinda wish I had the spring loaded casters as our floor is a bit uneven in spots, but it isn't terrible.

Awesome prybar hanger!

What type of farm do you have? That is a pretty serious truck.
