Had this Craftsman box about 8 years now. It has been excellent but I really need more space!

Looks like you have plenty of "space" still

Lol. Wasn't going to say anything.

The pictures were taken shortly after I bought the box. I'll try to take new ones soon. It's really quite full now.

If i had to guess those pics might be when he first got the boxes and had way less in it maybe. Oh heck just sermising an i probably spelled that wrong.

^^^ this.

Picture like that remind me of the one thing that I really miss from my last job, my service truck. Is it just me or does it really feel like one of your own after awhile. It probably helped being a Ford guy to have a super duty with a 6 speed manual:3gears:
Ya I prefer being in a service truck. Haven't been doing much of it lately though. Just got this truck week or so ago. Was in a f550 before and this one is quite the upgrade.

Ha, if it was a 6.0 leaker you'd probably change your mind right quick. :D

6.4 with a 6 speed. The trucks we had with 6.0 where pretty reliable up to about 230,000 ish mark. At that point something would happen that we didn't justify fixing. Other then a pcm return, my 6.4 was spotless in the 130,000 I ran it before leaving. 6.0 with manuals are gutless pigs, no bottom end torque. For as much as i like manuals, 6.0 **** with one when pulling. The 6.4 has a lot more bottom end which makes for a fun truck to drive.

New krl7022 and whatever the cart number is. Too

Not a huge fan of black boxes, but man that looks sharp with that trim.

What box is sitting to the right of the Matco? Looks like a 33" top on a 27" bottom?

My KRSC46 & KRL722BPC. I just got the KRL last week, now i just need more tools to fill them both up...

Don't forget the HF44 in the foreground. :bounce:

An old Wilton 4" mounted to the top. Strip magnet on the other end to hold pry bars and breakers.

How do you like the vise mounted on your toolbox? How much give/flex is there? Have been considering doing this with my box, just not sure how practical it'd actually be.

There was a significant amount of flex. What I ended up doing was cutting some 1/4" plate and placing it under the top to spread the load out.

I mainly use it for disassembly of hydraulic fittings, holding a tie rod while I loosen the lock nuts kinda stuff

G-Ram, I think most rollers, no mater the name, need some help when a vise goes on, unless the duty is very light. Those with butcher block tops have it ready to go, I would still add a spreader plate under the vise as Ditchdigger did for lifting loads... (and because I'm a fan of over-engineering these types of things...)

Here's mine. I've posted it before but I recently went back into it and organized and shadowed the drawers.

I'm an aircraft structures mechanic so the tools are heavily specialized in that way.

Top drawer is all the air tools:

Top right hand drawer:

Second Right Hand Drawer, drill bits, core drills and measuring/lay out tools:

Third right hand drawer, Vise grips and machinist clamps:

Fourth right hand drawer, wrenches and reamers and counter sink cages:

Fifth right hand Drawer, hammers, punches, flashlights, rivet sets and threaded reamers:

Bottom Drawer, Clecos, suction vacuum, light:

These are cylindrical clecos of several different sizes:

Left hand top drawer is full of pens, markers and paper so I have no picture.

Second left hand drawer is for the sockets. I mostly use 1/4' drive stuff but have an occasional need for the 3/8" drive stuff.

Third left hand drawer, screw drivers, allen keys and threaded counter sinks:

Fourth left hand drawer, mainly bucking bars and pry bars but I have some bits and mandrels for my die-grinders:

Left hand bottom drawer is mainly longer c-clamp vise grips and air hoses:

Yes I definitely figured as much, just more curious than anything. I got the welder at work to make me a "top". It's a slab of 1/4" stainless with the edges beveled nicely:bounce: So that, coupled with another piece on the bottom should hold a vise quite snugly :D

2Fat2Fly: That's a good lookin box I like the color, looks like you use your air tools alot and you have a lot of them. :rocker:

Thanks. I've had that box 15 years and I use the heck out of the air tools.

2Fat@fly, Wow you have a lot of stuff that I have never seen and lots of it, Nice box.

Thanks. I've been an aircraft mechanic for 26 years and I've acquired all those tools over that time.

Do you have any drawer pics? Just looking for ideas for keeping tools where you put them once you're mobile.
In the front I have my snap on road box on top of 2 of the original drawers. In those I have my impacts and other big items. So everything is basically organized into my road box so not much help with organizing.

Wow, great air tools drawers, might need another drill though. ;)
I really like how you overlapped the vise grips to save space, yet still shadow.

Thanks. It's all about conserving space. I actually have 2 more 90 degree die grinders in that drawer as well. They're stacked under the ones you see. I have all those drills and die grinders for speed and efficiency. I can chuck up whatever drill bits I need in multiple drills so I don't have to keep changing bits while working. Same with the die grinders. Set them all up as required and just go to work.

I saw all the bucking bars and rivet sets and immediately said to myself, "A&P."

After ordering it June 24th 2015 I finally received part of my order. 84" epiq gun metal grey, still waiting on the hutch and stainless top that should be here the end on January. Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed in snap-on.
Sorry to hear that, I got mine pretty fast I love the gun metal gray buy the clear coat your finger nail will scatch the powder coating.
