I was at Ikea buying some cabinets (on sale at 50% off) for my garage, among other things, and found this simple old style acacia wood hand tool box for $10. Of course I had to buy it. While I was there, I also bought a bottle of mineral oil to condition the wood. After putting the box together I like it so much that I'll probably buy a few more. The dowel handle rotates freely, which is a nice feature.

I might as well share my little setup I have. Currently I am 18 years old and love to spend time in the shop building fixing repairing things. I am working out of a harbor freight 5 drawer cart and a small Craftsman box along with numerous small toolboxes. I hope to someday have a nice big toolbox like all you guys but hey. What can an 18 year old afford? Anyway this is my setup. 20609f9300197a176ccf80a535036e1d.jpged9c1a9ac4cdd07350c3f44b72d90e89.jpg66b2dfc097524266d7db0ceb00dde3bb.jpgc56604e3f1f25c6cbd895f72b16fc652.jpg3ea14ea137edd800e85df71cd9a2d435.jpgaae6310d4621aa726b7e3504cf51e37f.jpgc6a2d60d5b141127d03e01b5d38cf561.jpgd70b7e94742567945bbcd6be5465bc22.jpgc98f58978139acaf0ec15b131dadd40e.jpg832c18032206d76c1da191c88a22382a.jpgd76b6b2f4ccad36501492e5466d060eb.jpgad880f8b91157fa1003d48b953ee4650.jpg8f9493c86643667a030e8ec075e64a53.jpg1fc4900b54477ffa8de05ed0dc5d4bf6.jpg

That's a much better setup than I had at 18. I just had a single plastic box of assorted tools I purchased as needed. You are definitely on your way to a great setup. Good job.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks to this message board I am looking at purchasing a Masterforce toolbox 41"
I am wondering if anyone knows how often these go on sale? Right now the 30" is on sale but not the 41. Also, will menards accept competitors coupons? I have a harbor freight 20% off right now.
Thanks

I picked up my 72" Masterforce today at my local menards. I got it on sale for $999
Upon my arrival I noticed the box was damaged. Opened it up,sure enough the lower drawer was dented. I end up getting another $100 off the box. So for $899 I couldn't complain. Overall for the $$ it's pretty impressive. If you can catch it on sale, I think it's way nicer than the HF 72". However that's mostly due to drawer layout and I like the latch system better. I'm a body guy by trade, so I need deeper drawers

Probably a silly question, but what is the large silver adjustable tool that runs along the top and left side of this picture?

It kinda looks like an adjustable spanner but not sure

Yep, adjustable hook spanner.

Looks like he has a second larger jaw in another drawer, or a second one with a handle elsewhere also.

Here's a quick picture of my home garage boxes. I acquired all of them on the cheap and they serve their purpose.

How do you like the Klutch stubby? Is it a *************?

I've been thinking about picking one up.
It's actually a pretty decent stubby impact and can't beat the price on it, had it over 2 years now and use it a lot

My SO guy has a matte black with metallic orange trim, same drawers as that one, it looks amazing. I told him I'd trade my matte black with metallic blue for his, straight across, he said no..I only have the two full drawer lengths tho

I finally got around to installing my led lights on my box last night. Well one strip anyways. I'm going to add a second closer to the front for better task lighting.

Grew up in Amarillo. Attended WTSU. Drove past there every day. Even bought a truck there way back when. I've lived somewhat south now for many years but visit family several times a year. I still catch myself calling the panhandle home.

Pretty slick little setup you got there especially only 19years old. You did a good job with the video as well. Short but yet explained things nicely.

My Snap On guy had the 68" Epiq box like yours but it was gloss black with the metallic orange trim. So I bought it.....he already sold the matte black/ orange trim. Not a fan of matte black. The gloss black and metallic trim is awesome.

I also ordered the top chest and locker in the same trim. They currently only have that trim color for the bottom box but should be ready in about 4 weeks, so he is waiting to order as we don't want to have to replace all that trim.
