They don't import them here anymore either we now only get the 4.5litre V8 diesel which has had quite a few reliability problems. My Ute has the old 1 HZ 4.2 litre six cylinder diesel no powerhouse but probably the most reliable engine Toyota ever built.I believe this engine is still available in some Africian and Asian countries which don't have Eco Nazi's

Just updated my main toolbox,Well not so much the toolboxes but the carrier,My old "Unbreakable" Hi-Lux broke so I upgraded to this Land Cruiser with heavy duty suspension and added a vice (Dawn 5 inch)

Wow nice setup you have there, can't beat a cruiser. What line of work do you use it for?

We have several cattle properties(farms)totalling just under 500,000 acres. So we have 12 Landcruisers similar to mine,2 Hi Luxes,3 Bulldozers(Cat D6C and D6G),4 Graders(Cat12, 2xCat140H and a Champion 710),8 body trucks(Hino,Isuzu,Volvo,Mitsubishi) 2 Loaders (Case MX570 and 621B) 3 Cat Challengers 75C 85D 765,plus 2 Bobcats a Cat Backhoe several small tractors with front Loaders(Kubota,Daedong)plus various bikes and ATV's so keeping them running is what I seem to do when I'm not helping with the cattle work. :)

This is now in my garage. I don't know anything about it other than there are Snap-On logos ans stickers on it.

Does anyone know how to find the age and model number on one of these?

(sorry. I can't seem to rotate the pic properly.)

All we get are pimped out Utes with a gas V8. Decent motors, but thirsty.

Look on the back lower right, (May be VERY faint) for stamping under the paint for the Mod # and date at least (you may need better lighting to see it)

Here's my old box, Its getting pretty packed! I'll hopefully be getting an SO bottom chest in the near future but for now its on a 5 drawer Stanley. Photo bucket is acting stupid so I only got the one pic downloaded, I'll try to get the bottom box and drawer pics later.

This is my home box. Had a chance to sit down and sort it out and add some draw liner after getting home from college for the summer. I'm really happy with my setup. 27527ebea35ea76e37edf05b95648270.jpg

This three drawer box lives on a small service cart but doubles as a portable box. My combo wrenches are in here as well as an extra socket set.

A year later upgraded to this:

Recently the Snap on Rock and roll truck came by. I was stupid enough to upgrade to this:

Krsc46 is a solid box that will last forever. If it's fully loaded it's pretty tough to push it around the shop, I didn't move mine much. I would of kept it if he didn't give me a good trade in price. I'd suggest one to anyone, they're awesome. I bought the power strip so I could have my chargers inside.

Thanks mopar man. I like variety, as long as its US made there is room in my box for it.

You might want to throw those HF crescents, washers, pliers, 3/8 extensions, zip ties, adjustable wrench, dead blow, torque wrench, grinding wheels in the trash. Same as those Milwaukee diagonal cutters, impact driver and drill

Maybe even those Irwin vice grips and black/yellow Stanley screwdrivers…might want to check the COO on those too

Well thanks for looking at my setup that closely, Im happy I could appease you. But you also missed the Knipex, PB swiss, Wera and im sure I missed some other NON US brands. I have no problems with imports assuming the quality is there. ;)

That comment was meant as a explanation to the wide variety of brands, but I figured there would be flack caught over it. Those things you mentioned are on the list to be upgraded as time goes on (besides the power tools) as that is a rather impossible feat. But when the vast majority of my hard line tools are US COO, its something I take pride in.

The bottom is a HF44 and the top is a Rem-line. They were a miss-matched red when i picked them up. So I stripped them down and painted them black.

I think your toolbox is amazing haha I'm very envious of that setup, I think the variety is great and there are tons of quality tools in there...just thought the comment about US made was funny

Thanks for looking out for me! If you look at my socket drawer picture you will see 2 red boxes under my extensions that have snap on torque wrenches in them that i had calibrated about a year ago! I just have not gotten around to throwing that out yet!

Tonellin- Thanks Bud! Cheers :rocker:

I picked up this EPIQ Mobile Work Station KEMW361A1PJJ on Craigslist the other day for $1400. It was brand new never had a tool in it. I am going to use it as my main tool box for now. Really liking the 30 inch deep drawers. The quality is really nice. I had a Craftsman Premium Grip Latch 3 Stack that I liked but it was 67" tall. The Craftsman was full, but all the tools fit in the Snap-on with room to spare.

Do they make one w/ shallower drawers? I feel like with my tools in there, I'd be wasting a ton of space.

Thanks Pipe.

Rocket, No they don't. I feel the same way wish it had a few shallower Drawers, but like I said I emptied the FULL Craftsman and it all fit with extra room. I couldn't be happier

brooksdr- Super jealous of the cart, I have been looking to get one in the near future myself but a deal like that is hard to beat!

Thanks sir!

Nice tools Kamanhart! It looks like you have a great dollar to value ratio going on. I can tell you buy with quality in mind, but you also put your money where it will provide you the most benefit, which is something more people on GJ should do. High end tools are nice, but for a cost conscious buyer there are still quite a few low priced gems out there. It looks like you have some of them. Your tools also have some dirt and wear on them, which is nice to see. I get really tired of looking at drawers full of brand new tools that look like they were set up as a museum showcase.

I noticed when looking at your 3/8 swivel head ratchet that it has a Snap-on handle but a chromed square drive end. I also see some knurling at the top of the comfort grip handle. Is that a SK roto head with a Snap-on handle pressed onto it?

Jeremy- Thank you sir, I try and keep the money where its smart to be spread. Also good eye, that is in fact a SK roto with a snap on hard handle. I had one laying around and was able to drill out enough of the handle to go right over the knurling so it wasnt permanent. Figured it was a good way to test drive a handle vs. knurling before I turned down the handle for a snappy or SK hard handle.

I don't say bad things about tools but I will recommend being very careful using those HF tongue and groove pliers. A buddy of mine had a pair and I got multiple blood blisters using them when the adjustable grooves skipped and the handles slam together with my hand fat inbetween.

Im fairly certain they haven't moved since the went in the drawer. After getting my set of cobras there is no reason I can't think to pull them out of the box.
