I don't say bad things about tools but I will recommend being very careful using those HF tongue and groove pliers. A buddy of mine had a pair and I got multiple blood blisters using them when the adjustable grooves skipped and the handles slam together with my hand fat inbetween.

The hidden costs of cheapening out on something.

I got a big paper cut before on a metallic paper towel holder. Not a big deal, right? Well, when it takes three weeks to heal you kind of have to suspect that they didnt use the good environmental grade of steel. And this could have been touching every paper towel that I wipe my hands and mouth with for the next 20 years. Luckily, it was in the next day's trash!

I got a new snap on epiq a couple weeks ago, went from a KRL 1022. Ended up getting a 84 Epiq with 3 full width drawers, power bank and power top. Also the right side locker and workcenter. Gunmetal gray with black trim. Was delivered with Bedliner top, which looks great, but I like to be able to write on my worksurface, so it was switched out to a stainless power top. Have yet to set the work center on as I haven't figured out quite yet how to lift it on. Weighs like 400lbs.

Looks good!
You did nearly the same trade up as I did a few years ago, going to the 84" / locker and work center.

For the work center set up, you really need 2 people and overhead hoist or a forklift. If your in a regular automotive shop, then set some boards across the arms of a car lift and raise it up that way, roll the box under and pull the boards out.

Thanks guys. That's what I'm trying to figure out with getting it on. I'm not in a shop with a lift, so I've been thinking about using my bobcat with a strap or chain and using the holes in the too that I believe are used when painting. Anyone see an issue with this?

Might I suggest cocaine for an addiction. It will probably be cheaper (though admittedly less socially acceptable) then your current addiction.

I really like that two shelf cart. Do you have the model number on that?

Not available any more though, lucky i got this from a crack head on craigslist. I paid like 60 bucks but it needed a solid cleaning, had epoxy and very hard to remove **** on it but the paint was good. Found a nice snap on emblem at the swap meet and did the unthinkable

Meh , been there , i can at least have something to show for my money spent , though the memories ....... dead hookers and blow, why do you think i have that 1k hp sedan ? Should have got the wagon smh
Awesome except it's maybe half full.
Close , id say 3/5 , proud to say i have a couple empty drawers. I have another 3 car attached garage that houses a few nore cars. My 55 is soon to be in the surgery spot.

The other side of the krl is the welding/fab area and im building a mezzanine that i will make into a room or two. Engine clean room , and reloading room. My other hobbies i have no time for . Right now getting airflow and a/c in this shop is my priority as well as concrete. But only room for one in the budget.

Very fortunate to have something that i have only dreamt of. Mastering tig has been almost as much of a challenge as getting permits to build this garage.

Interesting. I've never heard of them before, which is not surprising.

They sell the same box with 4, 5, 6 or 7 drawers, so everybody can get their deep/shallow drawer preference. Mine would be the 7 drawer version, like yours.

In regards to the cart, I ordered one today. In pieces. Its two bottom shelf replacement pieces in green and a leg kit, bolt kit and casters. Came out to about $160. And my driver said he has a green side shelf in his garage for it.
I wanted green so it was fast and easy to see impact sockets etc. Its gonna be nothing more than a rolling table. Every other cart I've ever had became immobile after a short time. This is to stop putting tools and parts on the hoist arms and dropping them.

Edit: I forgot to order an emblem! Gonna have to order an epic one to match my box lol

Thanks. They still sell a Blue Point one today, but its china too.

I could swear I remember seeing a similar, made in USA Snap On branded cart just like that back in the...90s? Might have been red or black.

Yeah, I realized that after I looked a little closer at the first picture. I'll take my ownage and move on.

Thank you.
Height 1-6 drawer - 81 mm / 3.18 inch. Drawer №7 has a height of 164 mm / 6.45 inch.
Dimensions drawers 580/380 mm. The size of the boxes as standard by other manufacturers.
Can be ordered other sizes of drawers 81/164/248 mm.
This is one of the best local COMPANIES. Can buy and others from China and Taiwan. There is also from the US, but the price is fantastic.
To be continued...

Any chance you have the part numbers for the drawers and leg kit?

Just got my new Dewalt box, I'm really liking it. Not many sockets in the pictures since I still keep my socket sets in the molded cases.

Sweet setup, are the other 3 boxes full too?

I have one of those boxes for working away from home. It's getting heavier and/or I'm getting older, so it doesn't travel as often as it used to.

Nice setup. I really like the way dewalt boxes have a bunch of different drawer sizes. If I was in the market for a home box I'd take a good look at them.

I have a red one, suspect it is made in USA, think it is too old to have been made in china. If you're local, I'd be willing to sell it, just really using it as a shelf.

Now the time has come I feel that I can post my box without being ashamed. I've followed this thread since I was at least twelve and being 18 now, 6 years, having a job etc I feel that it's appropriate. I'm sure I'll out grow the Gearwrench box shortly but at the moment it's holding up just fine. I've mostly got Proto with a few odds and ends thrown in and a bunch of Knipex too.
