Finally got a pic in all her glory. In my little happy corner. Putting another pallet rack around and over for less used stuff and parts up high. Need to get the Hilo going too. Less space but more versatility in the new shop, with a real booth and only one hoist now, but going to stick a couple hoists outside for little stuff.

Must be a guy thing...always jealous of what the other guy has....

True, true.

What I find amusing is GJ is the only damn place I know anything about where a man can say, "that's a damn fine box" to another man and not get :twak:

Went to a store called Fabricland, chose the material I wanted, went to a seamstress and had it made, way cheaper than buying 1 from SO.

I upgraded from this Cornwell tool box and Cornwell tool cart today.

To this Mac Triple Bank with Power Drawer and matching tool cart. My cart will get here next week, and my top chest in two weeks. My Mac guy threw in a cover free. Cool dude.

(Not my actual cart, just used pic for reference)

Very happy with the Mac box, as the slides on my Cornwell were crapping out and the Cornwell guy was giving me **** about it. Plus I think Mac tool boxes look way better the Cornwell. But that's my opinion. Very happy with this deal.

I was just looking at some pictures of the white and black mac boxes and thinking that if I get a new box that's exactly what I would get! Great looking box.

Do you work at the Shelby plant? I noticed you're from Vegas and the Cobra emblem on your new box
No I wish I worked at the Shelby plant lol. This box was actually a repo. The guy who first owned had it for four days, and then was laid off from his job. So the Mac guy cut me a really good deal. That's why I ordered the top chest and tool cart.

Congrats. Mine's about 13 years old & not that pretty but it functions like new. I really like that cart too. If I was in the market it would be on my short list.

I just priced out a similar setup but white on black with my driver. With trade in about 12k. I need to either stop being a sally or buy the baby epiq as a sidekick. Any regrets?

No regrets so far, other than that it takes up a third of the wall on. I knew that going into it, so I was prepared. Already looking into the bulk overhead unit for rarely used tools. I will recommend, that when you put it together, to put the hutch on before the locker as it would've been way easier if I did it like that.

Roger that. My little brother has the master series overhead and loves it.(being an auto tech in a shop with limited room). Shop wall space is little concern for me as I'm the only person in the shop. But that little epiq cart would be nice for now. I just can't decide.

Anyone else with an epic having problems with the drawer latches/endcaps? I have a couple broke like the pic and several cracked and on their way.plus a gratuitous box shot all cleaned up to move to the new shop.

I picked up this KRA3059 5 drawer off my local craigslist for $200. It's an older one for sure, and the fellow was selling because he was retiring. I'd guess an early to mid-90's model.

I cleaned it up, got a newer style round tubular lock for it as the old key was bent. I changed the logo emblem to the newer style, also. Got a new non-slip drawer liner kit for it from my SO dealer.

It has a few bumps, bruises, and scratches though. The pics make it look better than it really is.

Always wanted one of these little 5 drawer boxes. I don't know what I'll do with it, however. :headscrat

IF I ever go drag racing again, I'll more than likely hang it off the trailer door, as I think it would make for a pretty sweet pit box.

There is little comparison between a tech series and an epic. I could have put my tech series in the top drawer of my epic. I liked my tech for years, till it became overloaded and I started eating drawer slides monthly. I would buy a tech series for at home, it would be great for that. But for the big boy the epic is awesome.

Thanks. I realize the Epiq is top dog...I was on my phone originally and couldn't tell the series. That's why I asked

The tech series works for most stuff. Better than my older craftsman stuff and ten times better than new craftsman/husky type stuff.
I have no second thoughts of putting anything in my epic, at one point my bj press kit, slide hammer kit, etc were all in one drawer and it didn't care. Bj kit and a couple other things in my tech series drawer and it didn't want to open worth a ****.

Just got my KRSC46, Had the 7023 for a while now and was thinking about addons for it. But for the cost I think the cart was the best bang for the buck as far as storage space.

Well I'm just in the process of moving from this,

0d753a05f46412ac643d6be37fc302ea.jpg

Which I posted on a previous occasion, to this,

81778b744c16b9b7414e325cb2a465c5.jpg

I bought the used KRL1022 roll cab several months back and really like it. The stainless top is invaluable for using the tool box as a mobile work station, because even though the tool box weights thousands of pounds, these Snap On casters roll easy.

And then by a total stroke of luck I came across the deal for the locker, hutch and overhead locker, also used, just a couple weeks ago. So all pieces total, I have less than a third of the MSRP, and all pieces are in damn near new shape. Two small dents in the locker door is all.

I'm in total aww of the hutch and I don't think I could live without it now. I know it's not much of a mobile work station for me now so, I bought a cart. Once I've moved in a little more I'll post some pictures and maybe get a little feed back on what works and what doesn't and how I could maybe move things around. Thanks for looking.
