A toolvault 72 inch sitting next to my 2005 40 inch craftsman grip latch.

No comparison in quality and the griplatch was top of line in metro Detroit store inventory toolbox at Sears in 2005.

The toolvault ate all tools from this and 2 other boxes.

how would you compare the fuel 3/8 gun to the snapon 3/8 gun. my partner has the snapon, thinking about getting the fuel for myself but dont want to be dissapointed

personally i'd take the 3/8" milwaukee fuel gun.
ive been beating on mine for almost 3 years, (out in the field), and it hasnt let me down.

couple co-workers have the SO guns, (that live in the shop) and both have had battery "issues" in a little over a year, and out of warranty.

all my "working" cordless tools are milwaukee...

hmmmm...that has me rethinking those plier racks. lay them down in a narrow drawer and take up x amount of space, or use the pliers rack in a tall drawer and make the most of my drawer space. either way, looks good!

Here's my new to me box that I bought off of the snap on truck. It's a 1992 KR661. I did a restoration on and think it turned out pretty well! I had to get a bigger box to house my tool obsession thanks to this site. Lol I did have all these tools plus more crammed into a craftsman top and bottom box.

That 1/2" ratchet isn't a Dual 80, is it? Or if it is, did you change the handle?

It's the new sh80a and I put the biggest screwdriver handle on it. I'm OCD and wanted one in all drive sizes haha

Thanks for replying. That's awesome. Hard handle 1/2" ratchets seem to have gone away a long time ago. I have an SHL80A (long handle version) but I'm not a fan of the comfort grip handle. Hmm...

I'd posted pictures of the box before, but never the contents, so here's my stuff, in all it's glory! There's a shallow 1/2" Cornwell and a 1/2" Swivel Cornwell set that were vacationing at home this particular day, so they're not present.

Nice smitty. Very organised.

Thanks! I try to keep it clean and organised, but some days it's harder than others. These pictures were obviously first thing in the morning!

Oh, and that black box in the last picture is a HF slide hammer, it's been replaced by a Cornwell slide hammer because the HF one split the hub adapter down the middle.

i'm young, broke and just started working on cars by myself this year so i dont have a roller cab. i've been using a pair of red hand boxes and the blow mold case that my tool set came in. this week i added 2 new stanley boxes.

DSCN0365.jpg

the box on top has a sliding tray instead of the usual lift-out tray.

DSCN0366.jpg

DSCN0367.jpg

there's a little rod on both sides that connects to the lid and is fastened with pop rivets.

DSCN0369.jpg

the lower box is a 2 drawer box with a top section that is larger than i thought.

DSCN0357.jpg

that's the entire content of this kit, all in the top compartment.

DSCN0371.jpg

http://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-200-...c-Mechanic-s-Tool-Set-with-Hard-Case/50194995

when i lifted the box i encountered a problem, the handle location allows such a loading to tip the box when carrying. i was just curious if it would fit, i never intended to use the box in that manner.

DSCN0364.jpg

the drawers do lock when the lid ls closed. it'd be kinda stupid if they didnt, but this isnt exactly a high dollar box.

DSCN0363.jpg

onto the red boxes. this is the first "real" box i ever bought.

DSCN0372.jpg

top tray contains a harbor freight precision screwdriver set, a pry bar, a spark plug gapper, a pack of screws with nuts, a kobalt presicion bit driver and a kabalt double drive bit driver.

DSCN0373.jpg

lower compartment contains my torque wrench, breaker bar, 2 c-clamps, a roll of scott blue shop towels, a few misc combo wrenches and a crescent 3/8" drive hex driver set.

DSCN0374.jpg

the other red box is older than me. it belonged to my great-grandfather.

DSCN0376.jpg

it's a little worse for wear, but still fully functional. i use it for storing fluids and cleaners.

DSCN0377.jpg

bonus box, an old tap and die box that may or may not have belonged to my great-grandpa. my grandpa (mom's dad) gave all my great grandpa's stuff to my step-grandpa (mom's mom's husband) when my great grandpa died. when my step grandpa died, i received a lot of his stuff. this box was one of the things. my grandma said it belonged to him originally, my uncle said it didnt. my uncle had ransacked some of the taps and dies and 2 of the drawers i pulled out because of mice nests.

My tool setup at work. Nothing fancy but it helps me get the job done. We work on only BMWs 99.9% of the time so I don't need a huge variety of stuff.

Matco main box, work bench, Harbor freight box for extra stuff, and a cart floating around somewhere not in the picture.

I only have a picture showing the inside of my 1/4 and 3/8 drawer and it doesnt show everything but it represents the box pretty good. Mostly Snapon, Matco and a little bit of MAC since we just got a MAC tool truck recently.

Picked this Jobox cabinet up today for a couple hundred bucks. I have a single bay 40" KRA series box with a smaller topbox and a HF 5 drawer cart and I badly needed more tool room, just didn't want to spend the moolah on a regular tool box. I have my hardline pretty well sorted at this point and am mainly expanding my more specialized tool selection, most of which is either in cases or I will purchase in cases. This will do well for holding all of those cases and do it much more efficiently than a toolbox.

I also plan on welding in hooks for my large wrenches on the deep doors and also making brackets to hold my extra long breaker bars and long prybars and 3/4 ratchet.

Nice score. I have noticed a lot of equipment guys have big file cabinets and lockers filled up with large tools. Much different than automotive tool storage. Big wrenches fill up tool box drawers quick, that's for sure.
