The beginning of my adventure into the A&P field. This is my student box and definitely still a work in progress. I need to do a lot more organization and rearranging before I get it quite to where I would like it, but its getting there.

Are you still in school?? If so, you better not get used to the way your box is set up because if you intend on staying in that field, you better get real good at cutting foam

In found an ice pick lodged between two cylinders on a turbo 206 during my preflight once.

Was well on its way destroying the fuel line nearby. How the pick was missed during the post maintenance check or multiple pre flights by colleagues of mine....

Needless to say I was happy to have caught it on the ground and not in the air flying a single engine.

After that point I made it a policy to get to know my mechanics and their toolbox organizational skills. Foam cutout trays with no empty slots put my mind as a pilot at ease.

Harbor freight anti fatige mats (2 packs at 6.99 each) and the step is also from harborfreight as well its rated at 350 lbs and very solid . I think i paid 20 or 30 with a coupon and it folds up for easy storage. The very top drawer is the only drawer i can fully see and im 6'.

My grandpa had a 206. He'd let me fly right seat when we'd go somewhere. Very forgiving aircraft with plenty of power.

He crashed it a number of years ago when the number 2 rod bolts broke. It was 40 hours away from its TBO and a new engine was set to go in the following week. Thankfully he and my grandmother walked away without a scratch. The man has balls of steal and never worried about a thing when it went dead prop at 6500 feet.

Good planes high survivability rate and yes the continentals throw rods close to tbo.

Never had it happen on a 206 did have a 152 throw off a whole cylinder. Ended upside down in a ditch [emoji39]

Sweet. Glad you found them as I wasn't sure where they would be on the site. Gonna keep these numbers for future reference.

Also, with the way it's setup... its entirely possible to get another organizer and put it in the bottom left most drawer and have two.

If you ever get an opportunity to try it in your left bottom drawer let me know how it works. I just realized your KRL1163 has about a 12" tall right lower drawer. The left lower drawer on most KRL's including mine and yours is only 10" so I'm curious how it will fit. Gauging form your pic the frame of the organizer looks like it would fit but I can't tell if the tools could be lowered enough in the rack to fit.

I've got that same toolbox in black. Just trying to fill it with tools a little better before posting pics, but here goes. It said in the information booklets that came with my toolbox that it is made in China. Still, a very good toolbox for the money.

It is a snow plow that is stood up on its face, with the bars that it attaches with standing up in the air. It is an Alpine Flex Plow, that fits a Can Am ATV.

You know I thought it was probably a plow but I wasn't sure. Now if we were talking about your UTV wheels and tires I could have commented that the ITP Ultracross R-Spec tire on STI HD5 Beadlock wheels are a nice setup!! But yes, no need for a plow here in pretty much the hot spot in the country all summer long.

Hi guy's I have been wrenching for the last 33 years my first box was a craftsman
box. it's over 26 years old and it's holding up just fine up just fine. My boss at the time gave me hell and asked when I was going to get a real box, really any box will work if you just take care of it. I have never replace any slides or bearings on this. As long as it locks and you can send a vehicle out the door, and you don't forget any tools that's all that matters

Hey whatever works. The older guys I've worked with usually have a couple of those set up so they can roll over the one they need for the job they're doing. My old shop was huge with a bunch of techs so I got a cheap cart for my every day stuff & a bigger box for the rest. I love my big box but if I had it to do over I would have kept my craftsman like that & bought a really nice cart.

Nice to see a variety of tools there. I have all of those Craftsman t-handle tools. I got mine quite a few years ago and they were USA made. I couldnt be happier with them and how they held up. I really like the nut drivers. I didnt see any regular screwdrivers in there. What do you use for your regular phillips and slotted drivers?

Yeah I got all my craftsman stuff several years ago as well, everything has the USA marks on em' and I have the carlyle screw drivers, I have them hung up on my peg board in the hutch

Now that I've become more active on here as of late I thought I would finally post my toolbox in this thread. Over the last 15 years I have been a salesman/service writer/manager for 2 of the biggest national tire and automotive service shops. My tools are kept at home and primarily used for maintenance & customization of my own and family & friends vehicles as well as custom car audio and around the home DIY.

I definitely know I have an OCD problem. My tools are used frequently but I admit I am a bit of a tool polisher in that nothing gets put away until it gets wiped down. I will also admit that while I purchased many of my tools along the way over the last 15 years and my KRL1001 in 2008, so many new tools have found their way into this box in the last year or two thanks to GJ. So thanks to all you who've offered ideas, real world reviews, feedback and help in making my tool purchasing decisions.
