In the first picture your stubby Matco impact looks like it has a permanent line on it just for that impact. How come? Is it a 3/8 line for more power than the regular shop lines?

The husky tool cart is holding up great got it when it was on sale for 40 bucks on line, had it for 2 years now and holding strong, the line I have on my matco stubby is the short flexilla line so it swivels, love it

And I guess it would also give the impact a little more air the size of the line too, but man I love that matco stubby that little thing is a beast hasn't failed me yet on anything I've put it on, just zips everything right off and it will get into the smallest places even better than my small mini air cat will

I'm all about that German made Stahlwille but their tool chests/carts are just too expensive at this time. Not much used stuff available on the market either.

Nice American Snap-Ons and Matcos in this thread. Hazet is top notch and German but I prefer Stahlwille.

That's called a "whip hose". I believe its used for more flexibility by using a swivel connection at the tool, and less stress on the air line coupler as you are only pulling it in-line as opposed to from angles if the connecter were at the tool.

I've never used one, and I don't think it would benefit me, but I'm just a DIY/Hobbyist. When I did work in a shop 15+ years ago, no one had a whip hose.

So which do you like better and why.....the Milwaukee M12 3/8 impact or the Snap On 3/8 Impact? I already have Milwaukee M12 & M18 stuff and want to add a 3/8 impact instead of using an adapter in my 1/4" hex impact.

Thanks, Chris

The milwaukee is powerful and is cheaper but man my snap on 3/8 I've even taken lug nuts off with, plus I love the trigger on the snap on more

Yeah it does help a lot because I use my matco stubby in hard to reach spots like brakes wheel bearings suspension etc

And I am loving the hell out of my snap on 1/4 electric ratchet, already had the milwaukee and it came with an adapter but man the snap on 1/4 from my experience is strong and more comfortable than the milwaukee 3/8 ratchet I have, the milwaukee does well in tight spots though

Thanks AF75th92. I've avoided it for awhile now but someday soon I see myself adding a 3rd cordless platform and I'm sure it will be the Snap On. They certainly have been developing a nice lineup of tools on the same battery as that ratchet and impact.

I feel so bad when I see you full time mechanic guys with your immaculate boxes. I run a crane rental company, 5 cranes, couple semis, forklifts, trucks and trailers. I've got a full time mechanic, me, and a couple other operators, I provide the tools.

Husky box I've had for 10-15 yrs, kind of the main box, has held up well
20161016_092131.jpg
Craftsman box I purchased right out of high school (early 90's), with a 800 or so piece craftsman tool set, no complaints. Has one bad drawer, soon will go back to the house. Home built side shelf.
20161016_092144.jpg
Mac box bought used with tools, also came with the tote on top with tools
20161016_092155.jpg
Matco, used cart, also bought with tools
20161016_092245.jpg
Snap on, top, bottom, and side hanging cabinet, also came with tools.
20161016_092304.jpg

If I can't find a particular tool, I just wander to one of the other boxes until I find what I need.

Actually I use something like this more often than not, throw the tools in the box, go fix something, then put them back in the regular box.

Surely someone else has a pliers/vice grips drawer that looks like this

Figured I would post some drawer pictures for you guys since I got he new KRL1163. Some drawers could use a little organizing but it's sure nice to finally have a dedicated hammer, brake tools and electronics drawer.

Pliers drawer is the most empty as of now. Need to get me some long pliers and some others as well.

I'm going to post these pictures, half to shame myself for the mess that is my toolbox. The other half reason is to see if I can send some of you OCD tool organizer freaks off the deep end.:D

Oh yeah, there's socket rails in there I plan on someday using, wait till you see the socket drawer.

Here's one of the socket drawers, dwell on that disaster. 3/8" drive

1/2" drive

Top three are roll up cloth wrench racks my wife made. Holds 2 of each size, one standard one metric, one for standard and metric stubby wrenches, extra wrenches underneath

Air tools and big wrenches and modified wrenches

I need a intervention, or little shop genies to put away my tools

I don't have the neatest toolbox around, but I'm about ready to drive down to SW Missery myself and huck empty PBR cans and Coors bottles at you to shame you.

Looking good. Was symmetrical and remains that way.....just the way us OCD guys like it.

Actually kind of funny because if I was going to buy a KRL triple bank it would be exactly as yours is now or was and it probably has everything to do with symmetry.

Hello everyone,

I recently just completed this Snap On KR562A 'Taco Wagon'. Taken down to bare metal, mostly media blasted. Matched the paint as closely to Snap On's extreme green, the closest I could match up was 'Kawasaki Green'. After doing a partial paint cure I finished it off with a MIT powder coatings 'glass clear. All locks match and work. Last to be installed/fitted: snap on drawer trim that I am matching to the matte black accents, and a .5 thick black UHMW work surface. I started this project with all intentions of keeping it but my snap on driver is too convincing and I need to make room for my new KRL1033.... I'll be refinishing a KR398A this week in S/O red. :rocker:

What are the part numbers on the drawers? Got the same box, same color. Looks awesome BTW :)

Thank you!!

1003JL72PJJ 4" Narrow bank drawer...

1003JL73PJJ 6" Narrow bank drawer...

8-05388ALRMS 26.75IN HD Slide set (snap in)

They didn't come with drawer liners or the plastic lock n roll part... They did come with the chrome handle protectors at least... I had extra liners, and my driver gave me the plastic lock off a drawer on his demo box in the truck!!
