This box will be 60 inches wider in a month or two. Got promoted from n lead tech to shop fleetmanager. Now all my tools i had at work come home to over load my box

Congrats on your promotion. But if all your tools are going home, why does the box get bigger? :headscrat:headscrat

Or is this "home"?

Been a long while since I posted, but now I have my own garage and I'm working on getting it setup to do some work.. I picked up the HF 5 drawer cart to replace my old box that I let my father have since I moved first into a place with no place to store anything. Now I'm in a duplex with a single car and working to to get it setup nicely. Work bench is next on the list of things to build.

Overall, great purchase. Got it for $160 this past weekend. I will have to go back through and loosen some bolts to get it to sit flat but the chunk of wood works for now..

Does anyone here use a Cantilever Tool Box primarily as a storage method and not as a portable transport method?

Kinda sorta. I have the Hazet 190L that primarily sits in my garage. It's loaded down with full 1/4" and 3/8" socket sets, extensions, 8 or so ratchets, combination wrenches, two sets of screwdrivers, a set of pliers, and a few misc. items.

It is my portable box at the same time, but only when I need to take those types of tools with me.

I've been following this on IG. Love it! Nice work man. I'm close by you in the Bay Area. I had considered reaching out for refinishing my box a few times.

Hello everyone,

I recently just completed this Snap On KR562A 'Taco Wagon'. Taken down to bare metal, mostly media blasted. Matched the paint as closely to Snap On's extreme green, the closest I could match up was 'Kawasaki Green'. After doing a partial paint cure I finished it off with a MIT powder coatings 'glass clear. All locks match and work. Last to be installed/fitted: snap on drawer trim that I am matching to the matte black accents, and a .5 thick black UHMW work surface. I started this project with all intentions of keeping it but my snap on driver is too convincing and I need to make room for my new KRL1033.... I'll be refinishing a KR398A this week in S/O red. :rocker:

Hey sorry to jump in but are the extra drawers you have for sale from the Extreme Green Epiq you have in all of your pics. I believe GJ Members HzEmall and OCD have KRL series boxes. Apologize if I missed something in the thread. Just trying to help.......

Power Probe sleeps in my locker. Hoping to add/upgrade to a KRSC46 next year as a main cart. Not pictured is my other set of tools at home, LOL. This lot gets me through day to day.

Same here. Do you guys have the same parts issues we're always having? It seems like we can't get anything we need in a reasonable time. It took a week and a half for us to get a rear window in for a 440ct.

Ya it can be frustrating for us ordering parts. Some things come quick others seem to take forever. I work on the crane side mostly so I haven't had to deal with case parts recently. Crane parts are ridiculous sometimes as far as back orders and what the whare houses have in stock.

We don't deal with cranes here, but just about everything else. I get really frustrated between not having parts and the shop not having tools it should have. Well, I guess we have most of the tools we need, but its impossible to find them because our tool room is a disaster.

Technically, it's a 'toolbox', but in the sign business, we call it a 'sign kit' or 'kit box'. I like it----lift out tray, big enough to act as a seat or stool and is made for that, in fact! Supposedly waterproof. I'm sure it's at least very water-resistant, as it has a heavy rubber gasket in the lid.

I won't be surprised if this sits that long too, it's roughly 60k in parts alone and its all major components that have to come through miller because it's a new holland front boom

I've outgrown my NAPA 7-drawer tool cart after a good friend of mine left the automotive industry and left me a whole bunch of tools. I pulled the trigger on this Cornwell 40" top and bottom set:

30496302185_75ccaf1f5d_b.jpg

It's probably overkill for homeowner use, but it's somewhat rare to find a matching Cornwell top and bottom set in my area.

It weighs 635 lbs! 42W x 71H x 24D.

While I don't work on Cases to off ten, Linde forklifts can have a great waiting period for parts. Not too unheard of to wait 3 months for a mast cylinder. Also have you tried ordering a VW diesel replacement engine lately. JCB is pretty good too, 4 months for a thermostat.

Very nice. There was a 42" bottom like that on craigslist for $300 but I wanted wider so I skipped past it for a month. Finally looked at it & saw it was 24" deep. The guy had sold it half an hour before I called.

You don't see many stackers anymore. I prefer them over the roll cabs for space savings, but again, I'm tall at 6-2, so height is not really an issue.

Nice box BTW.

Figured I would post some drawer pictures for you guys since I got he new KRL1163. Some drawers could use a little organizing but it's sure nice to finally have a dedicated hammer, brake tools and electronics drawer.

Pliers drawer is the most empty as of now. Need to get me some long pliers and some others as well.
