I work as a cabinetmaker and this is my main box. It's a bit of a mess but it holds my most used tools and allows me to lock them up. I could easily fill another one with the rest of my hand tools.

I also have a road box for doing installs and a separate room for storing my bigger tools such as mitre saw, routers, track saw and such.

Forgot to add a pic of one of my favorite tools. Took a single tone back up alarm and rigged it to a broken milwaukee flashlight. Works great as a lunch bell.

Cleaned up my work space, made room to hang up my clock. My matco gave it to me for Christmas cause I spend to much money......haha 8cfaf9e0d0cdee665d64818c94b495e3.jpg

Slick set up man. Can you do me a favour? What is the height of your hutch? Is that a Montezuma? I'm 6'3", so I am hoping a hitch would allow me enough head space...

It is essentially the Montezuma, it is made buy them for strictlytoolboxes.com. Its called a tool vault. It is 29 inches tall on the outside of the hutch, 27 interior. Another reason I bought the tool vault over matco or snapon, their hutches are only 22-24 inside. I believe mine is 5-11 interior height from floor to lid when open, and that is with 6 inch casters. I'm just shy of 6'1" with my boots on and I just duck a little. Most of the time I'm leaning over and writing or on the computer so it's not really a problem. But If you went with an 8 inch caster that might help a lot

@Tonellin. Thanks. Those tools keep several people from going hungry. Just finished the deal to buy my own shop this past weekend, so they are about to get even more used.

My tool box at work, probably more of a work box as only 3 drawers have tools in them.

tool polishers

Best forum name EVER !!!:bounce:

:lol_hitti Most people in the world would be like WTF? if you called them that, but on here it's the most offensive, degrading name known to man. Now let me ask you, I work in maintenance at a hospital. A big hospital. I use tools every single day. From giant adjustables and pipe wrenches to small precision screwdrivers. I beat the **** out of them because I didn't pay for them, but at home, where my personal tools are used, I take care of them better. Does this make me a tool polisher? When I say take care of them better, I mean I'm using a ratchet as a hammer at work, but a ratchet as a ratchet and a hammer as a hammer at home type stuff. I also wipe my stuff down when I'm finished and keep everything neat and organized, ya know, because I paid a lot of money for them. The stuff at work goes right back in the tool bag or box. Part time tool polisher maybe?

Just added these two Stanley Vidmars. Long story short.....I bought both of these and sold one to my buddy. After a month he still had it sitting in his shop on a dolly still trying to decide what he wanted to do with it. I convinced him to sell it back then I made a cart for both of them, then replaced my small workbench with an old craftsman shoved underneath it. Now I have a **** load more tool storage and a better (bigger) work bench. Boxes are 30 wide x 28 deep x 34 tall each. Total on the cart is 62 long and 28 deep. There really is no other tool box that can touch these things for quality, durability, and flexibility. Each box empty weighs 380 lbs. Enjoy....

Cart I made out of some steel and old casters I had laying around for years. Locking mechanism was broken on two of them so I just removed it. Spray bombed it with some rustoleum.

Old bench and box.

New boxes in place.

Added stainless strips to the handles to match my other two Vidmars.

My other Vidmars

Some people actually take pride in, or are company mandated to keep their stuff clean.

Very nice! Would really like to have the 17 drawer unit. :lol_hitti

So did you catch any **** from the other machinists for ditching the kennedy?

Those bottom boxes and their maintenance series tops are nice, but I don't understand how a guy can be efficiently productive with those small machinist chests.
