Three is what I have in the car and on me at all times (1 in the console and 2 in holsters).... Remember, the Democrats want us to buy at least one gun a month. I have been trying hard but admit that I was a slacker for a couple of months last year....

I like the way you think but I can't afford to keep up.

I save all of my lunch money and hunt for bargains. One of the buys this past year was a 416 Remington Mag African model. After all, you never know when a mad elephant might rampage thru Rossville Georgia and by golly, if one does, I'm ready for him...

3 hand guns???????????????????:shocking:
Aww heck! My wife was cleanin out her purse and musta left them 45's laying on top of the box. :bounce:

Actually we had just came back from the gun range, I layed them up there to remind myself to clean them.

Wrenchr, don't forget, this is TEXAS!!

Trodery, glad to see you on the site. I finally started putting things up in the box that you sold me. This place give me tool and tool box envy....big time.

I see that you still got the "pimp juice" jeep. I thought that you were moving onto the next project.
Thanks for the welcome! The Jeep is going up for sale very soon... I just last week I sold the trailer I built.

@trodery
do you have no ratchets and sockets????
Aparently I forgot to take a picture. I have them but its not a very impressive collection although it has gotten me through 20 years without needing to buy any.

snapon has a 70 series box and a 10 series box.. so for example a krl7023 is 40 inches tall and the krl1023 is 45 inches tall.. so i have a krl7065 mr big which is shorter then the krl1065 mr big but the width is always the same.. i added some pics of the drawers as requested

thanks vic

Wow no kidding. I've never seen a Mr. Big in person. Didn't know they had a 7065 either.

I'd like to get a black 1023. Sometime down the line.

seeing a mr big in person is a interesting experience, as they were rolling the box out, i couldnt believe the length of this box...some people like the 70 series verison better then the 10, becuase it is low enough to use as a benchtop.. i use to have a blue krl1023 before mrbig and i loved that box... i got it for 8k off the truck and sold it later to get the mr big... i only got 4000 dollars for the krl1023 and it was only one month old

Yeah I compared a 7023 to a 1023....for me I felt I'd be better off with the extra space. In the back of my mind I don't know that I might not be better off getting the Snappy four bay, but that's gotta be pretty hard to move around and would take up a bit of real estate.

I'm trying to get a little more info on the new EPIQ line too, but there isn't much out there yet.

krl1023 is a reallly nice box.. ehh the epiq is ok, it reminds me of the craftsman box.. if u want the epiq for the power drawer. u can buy that power drawer section and install it on anybox.. before the mrbig i was looking in to the krl1024... the mrbig is really easy to move, i can push the box one handed no problem with its 8 swivel casters

In an effort to restore this thread... here's my "new" roll-around...

Took possession of an older red C-man 5-drawer from my father. We got him a Matco 7525 for Christmas so I snagged this base unit.

Before... only a light vacuum before throwing it in the truck to get the cobwebs off...

Wiped it down with 409 and a damp rag. It took the dirt off but was also making my rag red. It didn't clean up as nicely as I'd hoped, but oh well... it's a toolbox. Peeled off the stickers I already have on my other box and garage fridge, then added a C-man roll-around top liner, and drawer liners. I was going to take it and have the top done in Line-X, but when I saw this roll that looked just like bed liner for $9 I decided to go w/ that.

Cleaned up...

Some newly acquired goodies... IR air tools and some C-man flares. Glad to finally get rid of my crappy C-man free-bee air tools. Was a bit bummed to see the IR stubby had a sticker on it "Made in China for Ingersoll Rand", but oh well

Ratchets, extensions, and adapters

2nd drawer is full of torque wrenches: C-man 1/2", Pittsburg Tools 1/2", Proto 3/8ths, Random Taiwan 3/8ths, C-man 1/2" beam, C-man 3/8ths beam
DSCF3711.jpg

3rd drawer is my impact sockets and spare misc sockets... havent' decided what I'm putting in the bottom two drawers yet. Will probably figure out a way to throw in some commonly used screwdrivers and nut drivers.

Pretty happy w/ the results... once I finish my new work bench and pegboard my main box will be darned near empty :headscrat

Oh yeah... I opted for the hi-po model ;)

$11,000??? You got out cheap my friend.....

OUT! I'M NOT OUT! My wife would love it if I were out. I am just getting started. I am having fun every day talking to people around here and meeting a lot of local retirees. I have a feeling that this will be a life long addiction to go along with my car addiction. I always bought good quality tools when I was still on the bench but I was never bothered with having a matching this to go with that. I never got excited about getting the exact same tool as I allready have but 10 years older.

This is fun.

I haven't been on this site for quite 2 years and I have tripled my tools and gotten about double the sockets and about 5 times the ratchets I had before. Probably double and tripled almost everything I had at the very least. But what was good about this site is I have tried to get good stuff when possible and or the best I could afford. I have a side compartment that has my taps and drill bits and other things like my meters and odd tools. I also don't keep my power tools in my box, but didn't take pictures of that stuff. My 3/4 SAE stuff is in a proto box that I didn't take pictures of either.

Is this what happens to all of us on this site? I am just enjoying the tools right now but if I am going to triple the amount that I have now, I will need a bigger garage. I can't fit a bigger garage, so I will need a bigger lot. If I get a bigger lot, I will collect more tools...

Does the zyklops not fit in the vertical holes for ratchet handles?

I like that box a lot. Thats what he said.

Is that a HF led light? Whatever it is, does it function satisfactorily?

The zylops don't fit in the holes, but I haven't tried I know my hard handled snap on's don't fit so I would assume (I know shouldn't assume) they won't fit. Also I wanted to keep them in the 3 sets I had. Also have a spare set of the zklops ratchets but they are in the plastic boxes they came in next to my 1" ratchet adapters. The box is pretty neat to use, I keep most my commonly used stuff in it and it works great. I keep spare's and other stuff in the bottom box.

:shocking: It looks like the Craftsman rechargable that I have. They have a car and wall charger, so it lives in the truck for service work. It has the side leds and a set on the end for spotlighting. The switch button is really stiff, but there are 3 settings, side, end, and both. They go on sale for $15 from time to time and are regularly $30.

^ Switch button will break in somewhat... but yeah when brand new it was a bear to operate.
Good to know. Thanks!

Awesome. It does look just like a HF light though. Right down to the yellow button and the offset led lights.

Here you go. I'm no mechanic so don't laugh at the tools :D

I tried to find a toolbox that matched my Lime Green Jeep but I got such a good deal on this box I figured it was close enough!

never thought about those little plastic baskets for the little stuff....more specifically the tape rolls. I'll be on the lookout for some of those now.

Here's my 80th anniversary box and my collection thus far. I've only been in the game for a couple years now, so be easy on me.
