Picked up a Husky 46" x 24.5" tool chest today. It will be replacing the 18" box in the garage, while it is headed to work. The extra depth makes a huge difference.e075ed4176526ac42238728ff315faed.jpg3cdcc0e98a943d92c175b698d86481ca.jpg7fe7267cf775aa2442934f4c4391ee59.jpg04c58402f3b7029351f6e27c168273b2.jpg4acd26f16d0d0b7930c5052247d1d9e7.jpgdc5600e5b27407294ac5094151cd6f5c.jpg343bf33b5e96d01c648d1b4c17df136f.jpgfd1d233e8563aae44114eecbddfaf767.jpgf1c38095601af4300410be3ae13eb3ba.jpgde7653192ca16aba4b5cf556045ac422.jpge4f4ec8ea336d8ddff6059afe3f63393.jpg

Main home box; it's a mess and I need something bigger to organize everything. Lots of duplicate/overflow stuff that I need to sort out and/or add to the car and work boxes..

I'm slowly trying to replace my Chinesium but it gets the job done for now.

Pictures of first loaded drawer in new Lista box. 54 inch drawer is awesome, just wish I had two more full width. And, as some others have said, you do need to open and close from center

Where did you get those dividers that fit the drawer so perfectly? I’m using a CL score 1022 as nut and bolt and hardware storage and been trying to find dividers and organizers
I got these trays from HF. They are item # 99729 for the 6 compartment tray on the left and 99730 for the 11 compartment trays in the middle and on the right. You can also search "drawer organizer".

These are a HF item I could give a positive review although they do waste considerable space with the thickness of the plastic partitions between the individual compartments. When I decided to dedicate this drawer to this task, I researched other plastic trays and once I realized that 3 of these fit perfectly side by side in a KRL drawer and were only $5.59 ea. w/ coupon it was an easy decision. They do leave a 4"-5" gap at either the front or back of the drawer (see pic).

I also have a few Ernst trays and while they are very nice and have much thinner partitions, there is no way to arrange multiples of them in a KRL drawer and make them fit perfectly.44f1d5de081a4ec723e17108930b81b0.jpg

I'm quite fond of the yellow as well. I haven't posted pics of my KRL in almost 2 years so here are some current pics. I'm planning on upgrading next next year to a 68" or 84" Epiq. Still can't decide if I'll stay yellow or change to orange which is my true favorite color. /5a45f0fafe57e47ab46ba24c2119ae4b.jpg[/IMG]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180715

They are super heavy duty, and If you notice, there is a wide range of adjustments on each pair. Definitely my go to, but sometimes the jaw shapes of the Grip Ons work better. Thanks for the comments

Hello everyone! I am new here! Just found this site a few weeks ago, over the course of the last few weeks I have flipped through all 1000+ pages of this thread and checking out many other threads on this site. So many the amazing tools, boxes are garages here! I love this place! Learning a lot already.

I'm just a DIY'er that fixes stuff around the house and likes to tinker/fix things, I am no where near any type of pro but I am always trying to learn more!

Here is my humble little setup in my hot Texas garage. I'll try and get more drawer pics later.

I'm finally getting my back garage electrified, cleaning out the junk and turning it into half woodshop / half auto shop so that my front garage can go back to being mostly just a car park.

Various toolboxes spread between the two garages,
such as this,
41803888720_bc49efaf71_b.jpg

Craftsman stack that my parents bought me when I was around 16, 30+ years ago.

and this,
43611343121_032c6ee894_b.jpg

Craftsman stack that was my fathers backup box.

and this,
43564159272_25b3606973_b.jpg

Global Industrial service cart.

and even this,
29741505398_5b68d9384c_b.jpg

Another Craftsman box that was my dads.

were initially going to be mostly combined into this:
42893974994_4ac0c8bc04_b.jpg

This is a Performax 40" box from Menards, which is now discontinued. It was a nice box for the four days that I had it. :) It's not super high quality, but I'm easy on my equipment and it had a drawer layout that was going to work for me. Before I even loaded any tools in it though, I turned around and sold it for what I'd paid for it.

To get this:
43564165732_19d49d6011_b.jpg

This is a Canadian 60" Husky 18-drawer box. Turns out that I live (in northeastern Illinois) not far from the headquarters of the company who makes many of Husky's boxes. They occasionally unload production samples and such via Craigslist. They had a handful of these boxes that had been made for Home Depot Canada, which were not released in the US. (Though HD US is now selling a 61" Husky 18-drawer, this is NOT the same box. The guy I talked to said that HD Canada & HD US order designs independent of each other. Ridiculous.) I picked it up for a pretty good price. My space allowances are such that the additional width works better for me than more depth would. Plus the drawer heights are perfect for the organization layout I'm planning on, which wasn't the case with basically every other box I looked it. The top till was also a requirement.

This is from their Limited Edition line, so it's a textured finish, which I like quite a bit. Moreso than the gloss black, for sure. If I'd had my druthers, it'd be red, like you can get the new 61" model in, just because the lighter color drawer interior is better for picking out tools than the black. If I decide that it matters that much to me, I'll give the drawer interiors a spray of light grey or something but, honestly, I'll likely not bother. This is just for hobbiest / DIY work at this point in my life.

Once I start loading some tools in, I'll get some drawer shots posted.

For all those on the fence about stepping up to a larger box if their current one is over crowded, take it from me....even if it's not a top of the line box it is still really nice to have a little real estate in your drawers. I almost feel like I am using the correct tool for the task more often, because I can see what I have.

I am 6'2" and really debated going with a rolling cabinet and a top chest, but ended up finding a snap on classic 78 rolling and really love it. If you set it up correctly, the tools you use the most will be in the top drawer.

The 1022's can be found very reasonable. they are 5" taller ( without a SS or hardwood top). Most taller guys prefer them over the KRA2422's or KRL 722/7032's.

the extra 6" of depth of the 1022/1023's isn't that much for foot print, but you'd be amazed how much more you can get in them.. food for thought. your milage may very.

Haven't posted my stuff in awile, added another box and got rid of some stuff so a lot more organized than I usually like it.

Big box....3600ab6f69788e7f1bf10cda3e0c4976.jpgce9c0cf665681e005afd85fef196b79d.jpgfb89d0b19529789063d595740df305e7.jpge8e3ecbb526e250e4ff8a2d22567e4a4.jpg35e7e03b154c51ee6df5cbb97d739672.jpg453ce2be3102f9ef9253d81d55a26980.jpge6c6b19b7d2cac00c7890b3b605397bf.jpg4d78f2af20e875215c8edba29acf1e20.jpg3b999bbb1a1fff6bb30bd95f70f44cd6.jpg
