Hi everyone! I've consolidated to just a few boxes for the move but will realistically need to buy another large box, possibly a matching Husky now that we're settled. All of my electrical tools are currently in a 'Bag' so I can't post them here.

Does this count? :) It's my portable box for auto work. Since I'm just a DIYer it's customized for the tools I normally need on my cars, although I do need to add a few things (like some ratcheting wrenches). I have to add a plug for the Trusco box by the way. They make the best small toolboxes I've seen.

Everything counts! I've never heard of them, but I see they're available on Amazon. Plus you have a couple of names on the sides of that box that are sure to get attention around here.

Normally here in rural Nebraska tools at sales are higher than you can buy retail. Yesterday I went to one that was not advertised all that well and you could buy tools pennies on the dollar. I got some Norseman Super Premium drill bits for $12 and this Waterloo box for $20. It needs some of the spring clips on the drawer slides, a couple slides repaired and new wheels. I may replace the handles if I can get ones that are similar. It got a good scrubbing after these pictures and looks much better. I am hoping I can contact Waterloo later this week and see if there are any replacement parts. I did not get the keys so new locks would also be nice.

Great score!

I'm watching for that kind of deal on an older USA lower cabinet. I've gotten my 10 year old daughter into old vises and tools and she has acquired a nice little starter set of USA Craftsman hand tools. She definitely needs a place to store them but she insists that she won't put them in a Chinese toolbox! I think I may have turned her into a bit of a USA tool snob.

Well.. what really made me "spring for them" was the snap on red color. I bought the tool box years ago and have always wanted to surround it with modular storage so to speak.

I was going to buy modular storage regardless, so to get out of custom paint charges to match the epiq box, I bit the bullet and went with snap on.

They just released this new line of modular storage in April of this year I believe.

Got the overhead horizontal lockers as well...(they are the KRL line).

I really don't know how the pricing compares to their previous modular offerings. All I can say is that these were very expensive.. even after I got them on "show special".

Are they similar to Lista cabinets, with drawer dividers and such, or just open drawers like a normal toolbox?

Just picked this up yesterday... id like to say it was to help with the lack of space in the main box, but honestly it was just cause it was a deal of a price

Yes they are just like Lista or Vidmar.. the dividers have to be purchased separately, however.

I have several Lista/Vidmars, you will love these cabinets but don’t be surprised if you reorganize several times once you get used to all the layout options you have with these! Schaeller (think I’ve got the right name) makes bins that are very handy for these type cabinets. Congrats and [emoji4] enjoy

If we were closer I might just make her a deal. Good luck in your search.

Fedex just dropped off my new Tool Vault 72x25 19 drawer from Strictlytoolboxes.com. Those guys are great to do business with, very helpful with all my questions.
This is the newest model they just came out with last week. Griplatch drawers, 250/500 lb slides. Still have to transfer more tools from the other garage. Im loving it so far. Its built like a tank. Probably going to get the matching side locker when they come out next summer.

The stainless cosco box is what I was replacing, it held up well for 17 years but I outgrew it a while ago.

Making progress on my setup. Finally found some cabinets that were 24" deep. Will be adding 1 more cabinet on the left, then re-hang and paint all the uppers black. 2nd image is my high tech MS paint rendering lol..

Question. I have a snap on KRSC43 currently among with a husky 4 drawer roll cart. I'd like to combine all my tools into one box so I was thinking about buying the harbor freight 72" and selling my snap on. Anybody have an opinion on if this is a wise move quality wise. It's my home box but gets used throughout the week. Both my current snap on and husky are full up.

Take a look at the 72" box at Home Depot as well. I like the soft close drawers on this box. Never been a fan of the the drawer latches on the Harbor Freight box. The every day price on the Husky is 999. The Harbor Freight is 1099 but does go on sale quite often at 999. The HF box looks to be better built and heavier duty than the Husky but for home the Husky has the soft close drawers and a power strip as well as a stainless steel top.

I’m all for having one large toolbox as a single place for all my tools. I don’t roll it across the floor, it stays in one place for long periods of time. So for me it’s a no brainier - get a big toolbox that you can extend with say top box, lockers etc. No clue on the quality of Harbor Freight - we don’t have it here in Europe but what about some 72” Homak? There’s a thread a page or two down about them and they seem decent.

I shall eat my words. I saw when they came out with these in the last year sometime I think- and seemed like they had a different look than the Equiptos. Duster didn't have the labels in the drawer pulls so they looked completely different to me. Anyhow- I'm an idiot, that's all, move along...

No worries at all, and you're not an idiot!

I haven't installed the drawer pull labels yet as I'm trying to possibly figure out a different approach for something that will match the polished trim on the epiq.

I even thought about buying the KRL drawer trim as it looks like it'll fit as they use the same drawer latch system on the stationary series as the KRL line.. but it's getting out of hand now, so I'm kind of just in limbo trying to figure what I want to do so it'll all match.

I like the 24" depth of that Husky and agree the soft close drawers are nice but I just happened to watch the Real Tool Reviews video this morning comparing it to the HF 72". The HF puts the Husky to shame and in no ways that can be faked or exaggerated by the reviewer for the naysayers. I'm not a HF fan at all but if I was choosing between the two, you get a hell of alot more for your money with the 72" HF. Now the other candidate that should be mentioned is the Homak RS Pro. They are available through NAPA and seem very nice. I'd like to see an in depth review but there is a thread here on GJ with lots of user reviews and pics.

I can cover the larger HF box with selling the snap on. Honestly, build quality and usability are more important to me than snap on. The story goes I bought the box, a few weeks later I got injured at work. Out on workers comp for 4 years. While I was out within the first two months I paid it off (wish I had bought bigger) and started buying tools. I was able to fit ask the tools I owned in the box in a few drawers. After a couple of months the box was filled... don't judge me! Anyways, I'm looking to get my tools back in one box and have a large work surface. My grandfather has a PACKED snap on box about the same size as the hf, so I know all my tools will fit and have room for more.
