That's awesome Dave!

One suggestion: Move the top forward so it's even or only an inch left on the front. Then you have storage for stuff behind and it doesn't block the bottom drawers.... 'Cause you know it will happen!

I have my slide hammers back there. You can also put aerosol cans for the commonly used chems you use, or whatever...

Silly Outlaw :)
The MB1500 is the epitome of 80s box tech, so it has the nifty full-width drawer...on the bottom. It's hard to see in the pic but there is a caddy that hangs off the right side that i believe is meant for aerosol cans. Here's a different angle.

I like how this is set up. My work Kennedy stack is similar. Except it's a 26" roller with a side cab. Intermediate 3 drawer and machinist top chest.

Long time lurker, first post in the thread. Starting my vacation tomorrow so I wiped her down and snapped a pic. The setup is a double bank and a triple bank krl's pushed side-by-side. The cart really ever moves now that I've changed shops.

i'd say the new shop is too small for my setup:p i used to have to work out one assigned bay and then random bays depending on who was off that day at me old shop. so i bought doubles of all my everyday tools so i could work out of my cart and also out of my box. now i have two dedicated bays side by side so the cart has become redundant.

Looking good! It's nice to see someone else with the classic snap on red setup.

appreciate the compliments guys. its my forever setup that i'll retire with and take home when its all said and done. i started off with the triple bank setup and added the double bank about 3 years ago. still have room to grow with it being about 75% full. i do like the newer color setups with the contrasting trim but i'm old school when it comes my setup. in my eyes a snap on tool box is like a ferrari, it looks best in red.

I have a 1033 with a locker, and a 1032. Lots of room currently since I keep all my bs in another locker and an industrial cabinet. I keep saying it's my "forever" setup, but who knows. At 29 I've got a lot more years to grow.

What do you work on and at what type of shop? I'm all makes vintage to current, and that just eats up space having 2 dozen pullers, 100lbs of press adapters, engine family specific stuff, etc. I have to have 75 quick disconnect tools.

i work at a dealership that focuses on all makes and models that are about 10 years old up until right outside of factory warranty. i used to work at a shop that mainly worked on 10+ year old vehicles. i honestly have a bunch of tools that i'll never use at the dealership i'm at now. the master cool brake hydraulic brake flaring tool, gm valve spring compressor, drum brake tools and the 4wd hub sockets. but i'm ok with that :)

Seven years ago in Post #9747 of this thread I showed you my old flat files I use to store my tools. It’s a stack of 10 drawers that measure 37”x25”x2” inside. I’ve since added a stack of 20 larger drawers measuring 43”x33”x2”. I’ve used the Harbor Freight foam floor tiles to shadow my screwdrivers & sockets and plan to do others as time allows.

For additional depth for drills & grinders, I removed a drawer, cut the front off and mounted on top of the drawer below. This doubled the depth to 4 inches.

Picked up this KRL7022PCM off Facebook Marketplace for 1000. As to be expected it has some scratches and one minor dent, but otherwise good condition. Took all the drawers out and cleaned and lubricated the slides. Now it opens and closes like a new one. Added a piece of 3/4" MDF for a top board. PO used cardboard for drawer liners. I took the cardboard out and replaced it with Nu-Source liner material. Nice upgrade for me from my KRSC46APCM roll cart.

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on the model/date info on this old snap on. It was my wifes grandfathers. Based on the Craftsman (BE) socket/ratchets/breaker bars my most likely guess would be purchased in the late 20's early 30's which matches up with the time frame of the land purchase and house building.

The wider drawers each have 3 partitions. Currently holding the 3/4" drive set and some of the 1/2" stuff.

Just picked this up tonight. 2 hour round trip, but worth the 170 I paid. Intact and has a few tools inside. Guessing 1940's vintage?

I recently got hold of this Beta box. Today I grabbed a sound-absorbing foam sheet and organized my drawer of ratchets.

Have had this for a couple months now. Love it but think I'm going to get something different next year unless I decide to mod the latch system or they come out with a hutch so I can by a side locker as well.

Sold a bunch of my boxes to have less drawers but same amount of space. Bought this last weekend KRL1001 with a kr537 top and kr274 side box. We'll see how long this set up last
