Added this neat 18" Sears (not Craftsman) box that I found on craigslist. It was part of a limited run of 500 that Sears did as part of that last ditch effort 10 years ago to become (remain?) relevent with their "Blue Crew" campaign. It's overbuilt when it comes to the side handles and frame as if it was almost like a salesmans sample type thing for much larger boxes.

I didn't need it but thought it was cool. I use it for safety and first aid stuff. It freed up a drawer in the main box and keeps me from piling other junk on the Tool Vault it sits on. Naturally, the cabinets were 3/4 inch too low to ooen the top so it turned into a project.

The angled stock photo shows the Sears logo that was on them originally, ugly as they come. Fortunately mine was coming loose and shattered when I pulled it off.

Maybe later rhis week I'll do a picture tour of the main boxes...we all love that right?bb0e41c24dbc233b46fbc01dfe370e8d.jpg2f7dbcb7356f63a4146988b5056bddb1.jpg553ea53a4c9e9b8856f30e6a595df638.jpg42858e50bedc4afc0fad06e64651f1a3.jpg460ce0d53544f797dcda6e8fcb744bc2.jpg

Not that anyone asked, but as a follow up to my post above showing my little PPE/First Aid Box...

As background, I am just a DIY guy. The boxes sit at the end of my 4 post so I specifically wanted something not too deep even though that obviously means small drawers. I (over) compensated by getting a 56 inch Tool Vault combo and shortly after ordered a second 56 inch roller with stainless top. Its more than I need by far but the cleanest way to store stuff in the space I wanted to use.63de919b39ab3c9fafb9d7540a21f5e7.jpg91a9ab17ad7eae7d9011d0109ec6699c.jpg

Starting on the left, more or less top to bottom unless Tapatalk randomizes them (it somewhat did). The top section under the hinged lid is just misc supplies, I find it to awkward for normal use.

Sent from my garage.

Very nice and organized! I just bought a bunch of kaizen foam to organize a little better. I just counted all the tool boxes in my little 600 sq ft shop and i have a total of 100 drawers, i do use tool boxes for everything.

TRUSCO Steel Tool Box T320. Seen AvE’s review of the bigger box and had to have one lol. Very nice little box for keeping a few tools in the house and out of a junk drawer.

I considered adding a note to discourage that...but it felt a little presumptuous to assume anyone would want to. I had no idea one post would allow that many pictures.

And full disclosure...I had just spent an hour sorting, rearranging and straightening.

External links have no limit I know of - internally hosted its 7 per post.

Thank you!

I did it by mistake I know better with those, sorry.

No worries, just giving you sh!t! I always edit my quoted responses to either include the exact picture I am referencing, or delete all the pics and just quote the text. That way the OP knows what's up!

My DIY 1.5 car "workshop" with a 10x20 car shelter located 10 feet in front of the garage. Hobbies include car and tool/ light machine restoration/modding, snowmobiling, woodworking and car audio installation.

Located in Toronto, so it gets too cold and snowy to do anything reasonable outside for about 3-4 months a year...other than sled service, and some emergency car work, which has occurred below 0*F, lol.

Finally got some pictures of my setup. Box is a Husky 56” x 24.5”. So far I’m pretty happy with it. Top drawer has double slides and handles the weight of all the sockets. I’m slowly getting it all organized the way I want it.

I've been perusing the Husky boxes off and on (my Milwaukee box is plenty for what I need, but good ole curiosity lol)...they seem to have some great offerings for the value. That looks like a real nice box.

Thanks! The price was reasonable for the size of the box, which then leaves more money for tools [emoji6][emoji16]

Located in Toronto, so it gets too cold and snowy to do anything reasonable outside for about 3-4 months a year...other than sled service, and some emergency car work, which has occurred below 0*F, lol.

I'm in the GTA too brother, I sympathize with you on that one. Changing the upper rad hose on an F150 in -25C weather with the garage door open is NOT fun.

Me too. Worst I ever did was change an alternator in my driveway from under the car the day after a snowstorm in -10° C weather. But I was young then.

My girlfriend has that same box. She stores her crafting stuff/glitter in it. It resides in our back room

The orange handle set are from Mac Tools

Sorry for the dumb question. If we know that these are re-branded Channellocks, why do people buy the tool truck version? Wouldn't the truck tool brand be 3x-5x the price of Channellocks? Yes, it's more convenient to exchange the broken tool when the truck comes by but for that kind of price delta, I could have 2 copies of the Channellocks and still be ahead.

Sorry for the question but I don't work at a shop. I'm just a home DIY'er.
