I needed tools to take to work, but my boss didn't like the idea of me bring my own box(liability issues), So...I remembered this little jobbie I bought back in December-ish. Its handy as hell, no more looking for looks to build a bike or do bicycle repair.
This is what it houses:
some cheap powerfist box ends(not my main concern as they're not used often.
Basic #2 phillips(will be swapped for a mac or snappy.), which is one my main tools for derailler adjustments.
The multi tool, is my absolute go-to tool for now. Way faster than a tri-allen key, a Park Tool AWS-10 is on the way for testing.
Tape measure is for just frame measurements. And the pen is self explanatory, Could be just me and where I work, I can never find a damn pen when I need
Tools with definately be swapped with much higher quality once money isn't as tight. Its not much, but I'm happy to say it serves me well.
EDIT:Sorry if it doesn't fit in, but it does serve as my tool box through my shift at work.

Anyone know where these "separators" came from?
Uhmmm about 20 pages back? The guy made them, welded upright separators to flat stock.
I'm gonna make me some but thought at first they were just a bunch of those letter organizers, look really similar.

Try some CD organizers, may work, but may also be too narrow.

cd/dvd racks will work. if they're too narrow, just break out every other divider to make a "double slot".
what i did is get a piece of the wire shelving at HD, cut it to length and then bend it up i a brake (need a good brake for this)...

WOW! All very impressive homes for your tools.they all seem to be expensive when I lok for them I'm talking used.Anyway i just got given to me an old Beach made Ontario Canada.?It needs work,a few dents rust the like.I would like to dress it up a bit.Any ideas?Should I just sand the rust off bang out the dents and repaint.But the sanded rusted parts will be lower than the paint that is still on how do you get that all even

I like your heeler, I have a heeler ausie mix with almost the same markings, dog is too smart for his own good.
How come I don't see any ratchets in your drawers? I'd say more ratchets or some slim ratcheting wrenches! Thanks for sharing, Cool dog too!

New to the forum and only made it to page 118 of this thread so far but had to put up my boxes. First one is my Snap On KRL Series, 85th Anniversery Series. Sadly its currently empty as I've been laid off for several weeks, but normally its filled with 98% Snap On. Second is a small box I keep upstairs in my apartment and sometimes take on the road, the top is a Champion brand out of Chicago. Very nice vintage piece I got for 10 bucks at a yard sale, the bottom cabinet is a cheap unit I also got used at a flea market for 12 bucks. The last is one I call Frankenbox, because its made of pieces I scrounged together to make a toolbox. The top is a small Husky brand I got myself as a Christmas gift in 2005. The middle portion was scavenged from a former co-workers roll cart when he trashed the rest of it and got a new one. The bottom cabinet is Craftsman and used to belong to a good friend of mine. I was helping him clean out his garage and he was throwing the cabinet and a top box full of tools in the scrap heap. I told him for my help I'd take the tool box as payment. The top was trash, but the tools in it I still have and of course salvaged the bottom half for myself. None of the 3 pieces fit together at all, but it still gets used frequently.

Me too.
On one hand, you can stuff a lot of plier in a drawer and still find what you need quickly.......on the other hand, the pliers rack is a pain at times. Seems like more fumbling around.

Scarrylarry if you can post some pics I'm sure some of the guys who restore boxes would be glad to help.You'd probably have your best success posting a thread in the general tool discussion part of the board.Many guys don't stop in this thread anymore because its so bloated.I know I,for one,always enjoy pics of Beach boxes.I have a couple myself and have been looking for another for quite awhile.

I have a very crowded 2 car garage, and a previously disorganized and inefficient small tool box. I decided to make some improvements to what I had rather than replace with new, bigger and better. Here is the 27” wide set up I started with, a bare bones Craftsman unit I have had for maybe 20 years:

[I had actually driven the 35 miles to the nearest HF with cash in my pocket for the 41” US General chest and box, but couldn’t really warm up to the textured finish. In all other ways they were a great deal, but would also be a challenge for me to give up that much more floor space. So, I decided to pass on HF.]
The first step was to add the 2-drawer intermediate unit shown above to my existing set. Better construction than the friction slides of the existing units, and the weight capacity of the drawers is better. Progress!
The next step was to purchase some storage racks. Ernst and Sears to the rescue! Big improvement noted here. Here, all cleaned and polished (and artfully arranged for your viewing enjoyment), are my modest (mostly American) tools.

my free dewalt xrp drill 3/8 impact sockets and picture of my daughter, torx bits
matco breaker ratchet, pry bars and long 3/8 locking extensions
top drawer pens and sales flyers, calculator etc.
loose drill bits, rulers, carbide burrs, razor scrapers, razor knifes
ratcheting screwdrivers/nut drivers, hex wrenches, bits, precision screwdrivers, hooks and picks
pliers and vise grips
1/4 and 3/8 sockets and ratchets and some extensions
top right drawer lots of memos bulletins and paperwork, misc.
middle right drawer electrical strippers, dmm, test lights, test leads, leather mechanix gloves, tape
bottom drawer top box right side chemicals, uv light, solder, tape, mechanics wire
