Some really nice welders in this thread, especially for some hobby shops.

I don't really have a good "family photo" of everything in one place. Some are on jobsites right now.

Anyway, my current stable consists of:

Miller Maxstar 161 STH
I've got this one set up for portable work, primarily sanitary piping in breweries/dairy/ice cream plants. I just modded a cylinder hand truck to hold the welder and leads. Dual flowmeter for purging. I have the foot pedal for in the shop or when I need the control.

Miller Syncrowave 350LX Runner - I just recently got this machine, primarily for heavy aluminum TIG, but I wanted a backup AC/DC in case the Dynasty is on a job or takes a **** at the wrong time I won't be up a creek with no paddle.

Millermatic 350P with 25' Aluma-pro push/pull gun. My primary MIG machine. Once you go pulse spray, its very hard to go back to short arc. I love this machine, it paid for itself in 2 jobs and is a huge asset to my business.

This is an older pic, I have since sold the Lincoln SW200, but on the cart in this pic I have:

Miller Dynasty 200 DX with Coolmate 3 - The primary TIG machine in my shop.
Lincoln Invertec V300 Pro w/ LN-7 feeder - Setup for dual shield flux core
My plasma cutter, a Hypertherm Powermax 900

Next to it are the old MIG machines,

Millermatic 250 I use for tacking and lighter MIG work, and as a spare when I have hired help.

The MM200 is now at my dad's shop, it gets used occasionally there and it beats hauling a welder over there for a few welds. I got it off craigslist for $350 and I've since replaced the ****** Tweco gun that came on it with a good Miller.

Miller just released a new Millermatic 255, which is on the short list to replace the 250, and when funds allow, I would like to upgrade the Syncrowave to a Dynasty 400.

It's puzzle cut, bent and stitched from plasma cut 11 ga. Jeep GC Granite.I made it on a guess when I had a CNC table. It took longer to paint than make. There were a lot of naysayers when I posted it. Only change I would make is to move the axle point back 1.5". It will almost balance with a cylinder and no welder, but not quite, so that's the reason.

I dont have a welder wish list. I got 4 portables and about 8 shop and I could really live with 2 and do 98% of it with 1. I see the post ahead of me has a Wirematic too. I only use it on occasion but if I had to run it a lot would even take a beating to trade it for a new one. I have heard others say the same but mine is a fussy pc of junk. I was really disapointed and didnt know enough at the time but should have returned it the first week. The little SPT was soooo good.

Picked this thing up for $115 a few months back, have not had a chance to play with it yet, though.

Thermal Arc Fabstar 4030. 400A power supply, and a MIG attachment with a 400A gun. Runs off 240V 3 phase. Good thing I have a 15HP start/45HP run phase converter for my woodshop tools.

It even came with half a 10 pound spool of wire. Only thing it needs is a gas bottle.

Just bought this back at the end of September as a house warming gift to myself when we closed on our new house. It replaced my old Hobart 140 that served me well for many years. I still need to pick up another tank so I can start learning tig. I figure my first tig project will be to build myself a decent cart and ditch this cheap one that doesn't really fit the machine.

Hmmm. Other than the lack of DRO, I could not ask for a better machine. I never have to worry about the mule, I just load the wagon. Maybe there were some lemons.

No Problem, thanks for the compliment. I thought it was cool, and didn't really cost me much except the back wheels.

That's a nice looking machine on paper, comes with a lot of good parts on the mig gun IMO. If I had to start over, I think it'd be a Rebel 235EM, and a Lincoln Tig 200 on a ZT Fab Cart.
