I like the clean design, attention to lighting and a place for the computer.
Nice work.

Thanks for the kind and encouraging words RWD. My garage, shop and
workbenches aren't much, but I do get some things done and I enjoy
having the space. Where are you at in Chicago? I am in Georgia, but
in the early 90's I lived and worked in Wheeling and Mount Prospect.
Met some great people while I was there.
Smooth - Are those quick-connects you used to connect all those tools? That musta cost a few bucks (each!) but a great idea.
I have found that I do not do much “bench work.”
To go along with my roll around tool box that brings my tools to the project, I have 2 roll around work tables. 2’ x 4’ x 30” high.
That way I have a work space right where I need it.
And at that height I can sit down to do the work.
Here's one of mine. I have a similar one in the garage. The counter has several clearcoats. When it gets dirty, I clean it with steel wool. I takes about 5 minutes and then it's good as new.

Looks like you could NOT ONLY eat off that thing, you could cook, bake and open a fine restaraunt in there!!

For the top of the bar, we used 16 inch floor tiles in a similar color to the work bench top.

I just use cheap harbor freight multi pac quick connects. I only add a connector when I add a air tool, that way I know if something is missing. I like that I can oil my air tools and that it won't run out into a tool box, plus I could never find them in my tool box.Smooth - Are those quick-connects you used to connect all those tools? I just drilled a hole throught the cabinet and used a bolt. The bolt I used did not fit perfect but by cross threading it, it lock it in.What or how did you attach the quick connects ??
Not fancy, just heavy. 3" plate on a heavy stand. about #2500 pounds.
