So ive been reorganizing my toolbox and I have everything pretty much how I want them, aside from my allen keys. I have a set of husky T handle allen keys which I like, they're okay but my biggest issue is storing them. I also plan to buy a much better heavier duty set to have for a very long time. Just don't know which ones yet.

How do you guys store your allen keys and do you prefer T handle or the traditional L shape allen keys? Looking for specific spots to mount the holder and general preferences really. Thanks!

For T handles I like the traditional racks that stand them up, tiered. But not practical for most drawers so mount 'em near your bench or whatever fits your needs

You could make a verticle stand if you dont want to waste drawer space, maybe drill a few holes in a nice piece of wood and mark the sizes

I have a few popular T handles (I never buy sets of anything anymore, just the essential sizes due to weight and room) I store mine in an electricians style work bag with verticle loops and plier pockets, in fact anything I use regularly is stored like that, as it's easier to organise and not hidden away, the bag lives in my van and nobody else uses it

My most used T-handle sizes (just a few) go in the same drawer as the L key set. One drawer for metric, one for SAE. These are the three-across drawers in a top chest.

Bicycle mechanics use hex wrenches more than any other tool, walk into any bike shop and you'll probably see this mounted on the wall.

I personally own a set of Bondhus metrics that I do not care for as the handle is uncomfortable to use. I had them laying in one drawer stacked on top of each other. I'm looking to invest in a quality set at some point that has a handle i find comfortable.

My buddy lays them down in a drawer as well but not stacked on top of each other. Metrics on one side and SAE on the other.... front and back.

I like my Klein t-handles (the torx ends are very nice and have used on stripped hex bolts with success). I store on a metal Wall Control (AMZN) peg board as I frequently use them (motorcycle maintenance).

Wera for traditional keys.

Most all my T handles sets have their own stands plastic for (Bondhus) or metal (no name old offshore). All can be firmly mounted to the wall. One set of Torx T handles (HF brand look a lot like those green Kleins) does not have a holder and ya they are kind of pain to drawer store.

L handles except for old Craftsman (loose in pouch and real PITA looking for a size) all others have either a tapered plastic type holder or a vinyl roll with marked sleeve for each size (Chesco)

All socket drives... hex, torque, impact/ chrome metric and standard, short and long are either on clip rails or in plastic storage boxes.

Everything except for the t handle stands are all kept in in one 26"w x 3" deep drawer along with related folding key sets :eyecrazy:
