I use a Roto-Kut sold by Kimball Midwest. The thing works amazingly well, but it's also extremely pricey. I've seen other cutters that look similar by Greenlee and Irwin. Anyone used another brand that works well? The application is steel plate between 1/8" and 1/4".

The blair kit is awsome but not cheap as well. Anything good thats carbide will not be cheap.

I just took a look. The Blair cutters might be an option with the 6 size large diameter kit costing less than two Roto-Kuts. I do, however, like the fact that the Roto-Kut self centers, whereas the Blair needs a center punch.

I have the Blair cutters and they are great!

I pre drill for them with an 1/8 inch drill bit, you can then use any method you want to power the cutter, cordless drill or something stationary.

These are a must have in any fabricators toolbox, replacement cutters are inexpensive as well if you do something stupid with the cutter.

I have used them on stainless steel and they hold up very well, just keep the speeds down to keep from work hardening the material.
