I have a 10' x 16 (450lb) garage door and put in new torsion springs. There is 3/4" gap at bottom on left side (floor is level). The torsion shaft is a Key way type so the cable drum has a key in it. Watched several youtube videos on how to level it but not real clear to me.

1. Take a couple of winds of the same side torsion spring, resting the winding rod on the door?

2. Back off the cable drum set screws and take out the key??

Can someone give me a step 1, step 2, step 3 on this? Thanks

Ever get this sorted? I am trying to deal with the same issue. Maybe a bump will get the OP out of retirement.

Just did mine. It was easier than I thought it would be.
