Leveling workbench on sloped floor

Maybe I am being a bit OCD but with my sloped garge floor, my rolling workbench is not level to work on. I am thinking of removing the one set of legs and putting a spacer between them and the top to make it level. Anyone else do this or am I just over thinking it? I guess it could be both.

Not really practical for a rolling bench. No matter where you move it, it'll be unlevel, unless you always keep it in the same orientation. Put a lip on it, and call it a day.

If you want to keep it mobil I would just figure out how thick a spacer would have to be to get it level and just put them underneath the wheels so you can roll the workbench off when needed.
If you move your frequently I would also consider securing the spacers and put a chamfer on it so rolling off and on is easy.

Unless it's sloped like a driveway...


I worry just as much about my tools getting polished as my roller bench being slightly unlevel.

I am in the process of building a rolling work bench i am installing Vestil FL-ADJ-810 legs between the wheels to lift wheels off floor when the bench is in place legs are adjustable to compensate for sloped floors

Are you actually rolling it around or do you leave it in place ?

If you leave it in place...... Use shims under the wheels.
If you are rolling it around....... You are "Shim outta luck!"

It will be staying in the same direction. I want to keep the wheels on it because I do roll it out of the way when not in use.

If that is the case, maybe washers and longer bolts on the tall end of the box.

Get it into a work position you like, level it in whatever manner works for you and spray paint the position on the floor so it is repeatable without major hassle. You might get some heavy angle iron and through bolt it to the legs. Drop some 3/4 all thread down as levelers.

Hmmm leave the wheels on one end and replace the other end with adjustable legs. Still easy to move...like a wheelbarrow.

My solution was a plywood ramp under the toolboxes.

Replace the casters on one end with one big caster or wheel. Big enough to support the load of the original two. Three legged will never rock on a floor, even or not.
