LF Recent plans 72x2 belt grinder

I've been reading a bunch of forums and pages looking for good plans for diy 72x2 belt grinder builds. But most are 2013 and prior, so many of the photos and files are missing. If you know of solid plans, especially with dimensions, can you please post a link?

I'm hoping to find a build like a KMG, with spacing/connections for attachments. I have access to cnc plasma, welder, lathe, and mill, so I have broad options for building it.

I'm also looking to find out what options there are for a speed controller for a D.C. Motor, probably from a treadmill. The treadmill controls look way to bulky, so I think I'd like to get a new controller.

I have been searching the net for good DIY plans; key word there is "good" Have found a few that are a nicer build. Here is one that contains a good design and construction. The wheels are available on ebay as a set for about $150

I have recently discovered the uses of a 1x42 Meade (same as older Delta) belt unit and want to build a 2x72 model.

I built mine in Nov/Dec of last year and love it. I followed most of the measurements and directions from SSR knives and guns on youtube.

I bought the wheels from Oregon blade makerr on ebay. http://stores.ebay.com/oregonblademaker.
I was going to do a treadmill motor setup but couldn't find any pulleys or wheels that would fit the shaft of the treadmill motors (they are i think a 17mm shaft) so, I went with just a 2hp HF motor my dad had laying around in his garage. I saw that you have access to a mill and lathe so that shouldn't be an issue for you though.
For the treadmill motor controls, look for a mc-60 controller. With that controller you can use potentiometer to adjust the speed and the controller board is not that big but you will need to put it in some kind of sealed box.

Mine might not be very glamorous looking but it works great and I have less than $200 into the whole thing counting belts.

I am going to build one using this design, seems pretty simple. Will probably go with a 2hp and VFD.

Anyone have any insight into this treadmill to source the motor and controller from? Not sure how I can determine true HP and max rpm. Wasn't able to find a spec sheet.
