I see enough people posting Parkside stuff in the what did you buy yourself thread, thought we could start a thread for it since everything rotates out of there so fast and there is usually a few gems.

They have a digital angle finder OR depth gauge for $12.99 right now.

I picked up the depth gauge this morning doing the grocery shopping, I missed the Wixey on sale at Woodcraft last month. Looks very similar and comes with a case.

Took a trip to Lidl with my roomate on Sunday. Picked up the depth gauge for me and an angle finder for my pal. When i got home and discovered the angle finder was BACKLIT --- I need to get back there and get one for myself.

I have a oscillating multi-tool, used it a few times with no issues. I think they are decent cheap tools. The other German discount stores here also have tools. Aldi has Workzone and Norma has Kraft Werkzeug. They rotate what is available each week, kind of like a rotating Harbor Freight equivalent inventory.

This isn’t Parkside but Lidl has 15lb bags of charcoal briquettes for $5.49/bag. Does anyone have experience using it?
I cooked salmon over it last night and heard no complaints of bad taste or anything.

Some blackened seasoning, grilled over hot coals (like a caveman) and salmon is yummy good. This evening I grilled pork chops over the Lidl charcoal, they too were good.
I'm going to buy more charcoal tomorrow, hope they're not sold out.
Its not you its me, grew up eating home canned Salmon Patties now only way I like Salmon is smoked with some good beer.

I stopped using briquettes years ago and only use hardwood lump charcoal and a Chimney starter. Briquettes are loaded with filler and using any accellerant to start the fire will have a flavor impact.

Lump is more than $0.33/lb,but it's worth it, IMO

I picked this up today in Lidl, along with some rope and a leather punch to put a hole in a belt.

The precision screwdriver set is apparently the same as the iFix one.

Oh, grabbed an inspection mirror too.

Although I generally buy top brand stuff, some of their offers are really good, like an SDS 1100w impact hammer drill for 50eur. You just have to wait until it becomes again aviable.
