Just installed a new liftmaster 3800 over x-mas and love it. My questions is whether anyone has successfully programmed the in car Homelink buttons to work with the liftmaster. I was able to easily program a extra remote but not the Homelink buttons in my BMW 335i. I went thru the programming instructions for rolling code units per the BMW manual and also the liftmaster instructions with no luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Had a problem with our BMW X5. Our manual was incomplete and required the following work around.
1) Ignition key to position 2
2) Press and hold BMW outside keys 1 & 2 until indicator lamp 2 flashes, then release them. All three channel keys are cleared.
3) Hold the original hand-held transmitter toward the receiver about 2 in away.
4)Press the transmission key of the hand held transmitter, and simultaneously, the desired key on your BMW transmitter.
4a) ...then,while still flashing, press and hold the programming key on the receiver/opener for approximate two seconds until the programming lamp on the device comes on.
5) Press the BMW transmitter key three times.

6) Now test it.

good luck

Had an issue too with programing, but for me I had to clear out the codes on the car first. Then used the purple button on the opener to transmit the signal.

I had to do it a couple of times on my Maxima too. I finally just cleared out the codes and tried it again and it worked.

Don't forget to press the purple button on the Liftmaster then press the programmed button on the car to sync things up.
