Now that I got a 2 post lift installed, trying to make my life easier.

What are some cool tools / accessories you guys use with your lifts?

I also trying to figure out the best method of removing engines from the bottom. I know dealerships use fancy hydraulic lift tables that cost like 10K, anyone use a cheaper alternative?

Here is my Weaver 2 post lift with my Audi S4.

I have brackets for my lawnmower, a Northern ****** jack too, a couple rolling benches and for engines like a pallet jack with a pallet box with a plywood cover on it turning it in to a bench. It is 42x48 and is easy to set tools and put blocks while working at a nice height. The pallet jack allows it all to be moved, moved out of the way, all sitting on bench when removed and the jack is a jack allowing very fine height adjustments without running the hoist. Quick version of lift table.

You wont have the room, this aint for everyone but I use these for a lot of things. This is a paint job but the principle is the same. You might find a lift table useful and you don't have to go 10K. In some places used may be an option but Northern or HF too.
I might figure out some scheme I could turn it in to as many uses as I could including making it a main bench all the more important in a congested garage.
Not sure if I got a pic of an engine out.

You got some nice stuff. Add brackets, some boards of various sizes to the cherry picker and start storing attachments as ballast. Hang a couple 5 gallon buckets to the *** end to toss rigging in to all in the same footprint. You could use an engine stand or even 2. Get it all shoved out of the way asap.

I scoured craigslist for 4 years. Last month i found this circa 1994 Presto 3x6' 2000 lb lift table 2.5 hrs away for $300. I didn't even haggle when i paid the man. I would have begged him to take my money!

I have since removed the 3/4" flat stock which was tig welded to the sides. I placed paper towels on the table and poured non edible 'cleaning vinager' from lowes onto the paper towels. The very next morning, the towels were rust red as seen in the picture. A very light scrub removed what little rust was left.

I have since removed, cleaned, and reinstalled the Id plate, after spraying the sides with a nice few coats of husqvarna orange which matched the paint perfectly.
Its literally like new.
I don't have pics of the final product, i can get them and post up.

Point is, deals can be had and found. Just keep looking.
