Lift anchor question

I am starting to get things ready to install my rotary SPO12. The previous owner had an eagle lift in the garage as you can see by the anchors currently in the concrete. My question is based one the template i made of the rotary base, can i make that location or around it work for my new anchors?

The instructions say to have 13' to the center of the base from the front and rear walls. How crucial is this distance? I could move the base back a little and be around 12ish feet from the back wall(garage door side) and about 14ish feet from front wall.

It is a 2 bay, so worst case i can put it in the other side but i figured id give this side a shot first.

You would be better off,leaving those old anchors in the concrete and cut them flush with the floor. Install your news ones at least 5" away from the originals. The 13' distance,is mostly for walk-around clearance,unless you are lifting something really long.Sometimes you have to make the best with what you have.

I think 13' from front wall is overkill, unless you have some really long vehicles. I'm having to go a lot closer since I will be going into the attic with the two posts, and a triple joist that my engine hoist attaches to limits my locations. Not sure about importance of adequate "walk around space" until I bump my head a few times.

I sure hope you're using that cardboard template for location purposes only and not to drill your holes. You need to stand the columns in place and use the base plate as a guide when drilling the holes.

Just checked my lift and its got 12' on rear and 11' on front. My lift does asymmetric and symmetric and I've never had any clearance issues.

Yes the cardboard is just to get an idea where I can place the lift. Also I wanted to see what the situation was with the current anchors from the previous owner. My plan is to stand up the posts, align them and center them, the. Make my holes.

I'll have to measure my distances again and see what I can get away with for walk around room.

So i ended up putting the lift in the second bay to stay clear of any previous holes. I have to say drilling the holes and making sure everything was square and level was a bit nerve racking since once you drilled that was it...

Still need to do all the cabling and the top bar. Ran out of time yesterday since i had to run out several times for misc things.
