So my garage addition project finally started yesterday in which I will be extending the front of my three car garage by 40' (28' will be 30' wide, the front 12' will be 24' wide) and will have a 12' ceiling. My existing garage has a 9' ceiling and I will make it the 'dirty' area, maintaining the garage doors for isolation when grinding, welding, etc. The new front part will be for parking as well as routine maintenance, detailing, etc.
I have a BendPak HD-9 four post lift in storage that will go toward the back of the new section, but want to install a flush mount scissor lift like a number of the members here have. I really like the idea of a full rise lift, but I don't like the idea of waiting a couple of months for it to ship from China, hoping that the dimensions match the recesses that are made in the new concrete floor. The only other option that I see for a full rise is the Atlas, which looks nice and has a 9,000 lb capacity, but will be nearly $4,000 with tax, which hurts my already strained budget. So that leaves me with the option of a midrise scissor lift, which I think will work for almost everything that i do, and anything else could be done from the four post, though it might require moving a car out of the way.
TL/DR version: Does anyone using a mid rise scissor lift regret the purchase?
