Drilled some holes and I screwed up one hole. Its offset so only 3/4 of the anchor is showing.

What do I use to elongate the hole in the steel plate?

Die grinder would be the choice tool for me too. I drilled the holes for my anchors with the lift setting in position. Was this an option?

Thanks for the tips. I'll try the die grinder with bur.

Sadly it wasnt an option. the holes in the plates are 7/8 give or take and the anchors are 1". I do have a 7/8 bit masonary bit but it would most likely catch on the plate

I did drill pilot holes with a 3/8 bit I think it was.. some of the anchor bolts are a bit tight so I will need to make the holes a bit bigger. but yeah its just one that is only showing 3/4 of the anchor thank gawd its on the inside so not that big of a tension on it.

Okay?? What am I missing? A 1" anchor and a 7/8" hole.

yeah really, why are you using 1" anchors with a 7/8" hole.
usually those lifts if they have a 7/8" hole they'll have a 3/4" anchor so you drill right thru the base plate.........eliminates all those mis alignment problems.

Nope. Its the NAT C7000. Anchors require a 1" hole, the plate holes are roughly 7/8" so I cant quite use the plate as a template to get perfect 1" holes.

The Maxjax I installed needed 7/8 holes in the concrete and the lift had 7/8 holes on the base. I just used holes one the base of the lift as a guide with a 7/8 bit.

Maybe use 7/8 hole as a pilot hole through the base and then redrill with 1 inch?

edit: I re read your post again and your holes are only roughly 7/8 and they catch the bit so not feasible.
