Lift Installation Question

For those of you that installed 2 post lifts....when you drilled the concrete did you encounter any rebar? If so, what did you do, use a different drill bit? Did it hurt the concrete drill bit?

I had planned the slab for the lift before pouring it, so no rebar under the lift feet.

How did ya' lay it out? I'm building a house, and I'm thinking about putting in a lift in the garage. I'm thinking, separate the pads from rebar, heating tubes, etc. so that we can drill in the concrete.
